For some reason I didn't think O-Chul and the rest were in the same room, but this means he basically killed Redcloak in the open, and then had a hobgoblin saunter right up to him? |
The General came from the door that's closed in front of V.

Are phylacteries naturally evil?

Doesn't say in the description, but if simply carrying a crown that belonged to a lich makes you register as evil for a Paladin, then I'm prepared to accept without much of an argument that an object that's designed to both contain a lich's soul and function as an unholy symbol for a goblin god might be inherently evil.

I didn't ask for a rebuttal or whatever, it was just an observation of myself. |
Propably because they have been referring to V as 'her' in the comic a lot.

Yep, Tsukiko just kinda ran with it while O-Chul put V as a "he". All in all, it's still funny to see it pop up every now and again.

So um, I don't actually play DnD and uh...Just wondering: How many turns should it have taken for O-Chul to hit the phylactery four times? Shouldn't Xykon been able to attack before so many hits, even if he knew nothing would happen?

D&D works based on six second rounds, with characters having so many attacks per round based on their level. I can't remember where Paladins max out, but I know they do get up to four. Spells work differently. Without using metamagic feats (like when a character in the comic says "Quickened ________!") or other effects, I'm pretty sure you're stuck with one per round unless there's some sorcerer ability I'm not thinking of.

They said that it was up to them when they wanted to use V's soul for a certain amount of time. I'm pretty sure they want hir near a Gate before s/he dies so they can take over then.
