Also remember that the whole system is abstract. Four attacks per round doesn't necessarily mean you swing your sword exactly four times, although OotS generally plays it like that (and I think that's how most people view it). It basically means you have four chances to deal damage. As with a lot of D&D's other mechanics, it doesn't actually make a lot of sense if you think about it too hard. In this case, the GM would probably just be saying "you futily jab at the phylactery a few times to no effect," maybe after having had the player roll once.
Damn sight better than 2e's minute long rounds though. |
oh I did a read through of the whole story again, and I thought I'd see how many strips have been thrown up since the start of the year. It looks like abit less then 40 in 5 months. Which averages to about 1 to 2 strips a week. So although things are definetely not three times a week, it is still normally more then one update a week atleast

New comic. I so want O-Chul to be effectual.

Xykon is so awesome.
I like how, even if just for a moment, Xykon was showing some level of respect for O-chul there with the hitpoints comment.
Agreed. Damn V...
V's on borrowed time really... He's so screwed right now since Xylon's had his badassery in the "on" position. Think the elf'll make it out alive?
you know first time I found it to be just the most reasonable thing to do. But now his whole "turn invisible run away" thing is becoming down right pathetic. Atleast last time he didn't pick the fight
I have to say that V being selfless and taking a risk - without even her own personal magic, the same magic that once without she's run away at the first sign of trouble back in Azure City vs Hobgoblins - shows that she's really not completely morally shattered yet, despite the cackling and black-robes.
And it fits. Goddamn, Burlew. |
