CoH beta verification
 

I'm almost done with the registration, but I got to the page where they send you a code in your email and I still haven't recieved it. It's been two hours. If there's anyone out there (including Brian) who is currently in the beta, how long did it take for you to recieve the code?

Plus, how's the beta version? Have they had to work out any bugs?

[Edit] Oh, and does it have the same server system as FFXI (you know, the annoying one where you can't play with your friends unless you create your character over and over and shoot for their server)?

FZ, are you thinking off Call of Darkness? Because I'm pretty sure Bob here is talking about City of Heroes...

And I thought the beta was closed for CoH.

I think/hope it closes tomorrow. Right now I'm just in the middle of the half hour download update to get in. I guess I'll call this a sneak peek. At least I get a "special item" or some balogna.

from preordering it, it took me about a day total to get into beta. However the server wipe is tonight/tomorrow so you probably won't get a chance to beta test it. However you will get the three day head start

Yeah, I can't wait. In all the games I've ever played I've never had a problem getting "Bob the Mercenary" as a tag, so that shouldn't be a problem. Three day head start. *drool* I'm so there. I'll just be getting back from my senior trip to Disney. :D

Okay, update. By the time I installed it and went through the verification process, there was only one server open. I still don't know if I was actually on a server or just a tutorial on my own computer. I did see a whole bunch of other guys running around me the whole time, though.

I love this game. I caught a quick screenshot of my superguy in action. He looks kind of plain, but that's what happens when you speed through the process. I made him scientifically altered and trained in the art of swordplay. The whole fight was pretty much punch-stab-punch-stab.

I guess this is pretty much goodbye to the forums until Tuesday. Hope I don't miss much on 8-Bit.

[Edit] Sorry about the cutoff. Had to shrink it down. Plus, that aura on my back is part of my super speed ability.

id be suprised if you could get bob the mercenary, cause i usually have problems with the length of names, and no it snot like ffxi, the server selection is all up to the player, it is soo much digital crack, and now i have to go through like 3 days of withdrawl. Sigh.
