Are Your Dreams on Crack?
 

We're all 8-bit geeks here... and if that means nothing else, it means we have some aspect of an imagination. If yours is really overactive, like mine, you probably have some pretty crazy dreams sometimes. I enjoy telling mine cuz they're actually very entertaining. I'll share a few of my insane episodes, and you guys could join in!

DREAM ONE: I was born as a bluejay. My parents were nowhere to be seen, and my egg had somehow fallen into radioactive goop. This gave me supernatural strength and the ability to talk to humans! Unfortunately, since my parents were gone, I didn't know how to fly. I survived the winter only due to my supernatural stamina, and I grew up into a charming young bluejay. Then spring came, and mating season along with it. I met a beautiful young female bluejay and she taught me how to fly, and we fell in love. We built our nest on the corner of a shed, but then this psycho farmer comes out and shoots at us. Me, being the super bluejay I was, dodged his bullets, until one riccocheted back to him and killed him. The rest of his family swore they would hunt me down until they killed me. So me and girl bluejay flew away to a bird sanctuary, where we rebuilt our nest and had eggs. The bad family decided they needed to kill me though, so the lured her out of the sanctuary and said if I didn't come they would kill her. Now nobody messes with my girl, so I fly off in a rage (literally) and get into the big huge showdown fight with them. But in the middle, a bear storms in and I end up saving the people's lives by clawing out the bear's eyes. Feeling bad, they let us go and we go back to our nest and live happily ever after.

DREAM TWO: There was a rumor going around school that there was a curse on a girl that if she was killed by her one true love, she'd turn into a raging beast and eat us all. Nobody really believed it, but she decided to play a prank on her boyfriend. She challenged him to a race, and told him if she won she'd turn into the monster. So they raced across the football field and she won, and then she turned around with a zombie mask on. He freaked and punched her in the nose, thus killing and and turning her into the raging beast. It slaughtered him and all the onlookers, and then proceeded to tear its way into the school and killed all my friends in the lunchroom. I happened to be in the bathroom at the time due to intestinal cramping (hehe). When I came out, everybody was dead. Then Lucca from Chronotrigger ran up and said we should build a time machine so we could go back in time and save everyone. So we got to work, but eventually the monster realized what we were doing and started chasing us. Luckily, Piccolo from Dragonball Z showed up and started to fight with the monster. I couldn't resist, so I took out a Polaroid camera and took a snapshot of the fight. The Lucca finished the machine, and whisked me back to the scene just before the boyfriend killed the girl. I dashed across the football field and knocked him down just before he punched her. Then I walked into the school and told my friends I saved their lives. They didn't believe me so I took out my Polaroid picture, and walked away with a smirk. Movie credits began to roll.

Well I did have this really fugged up dream once. I'll only give you the gist of it though.

I was being hunted by a panther, and Police Chief Wiggum from the Simpsons. Wiggum had a nerf gun, and we were in some sort of matrix-reality-dream-state thing. a whole crapload of my friends were there for no apparent reason, one of my Tech genius friends somehow had control of the entire dream by an old room sized 60s computer. two of my other friends were there stealing silverware from a Daycare center, and I eventually stole wiggums Nerf gun and blasted him with it until he ran away. I then met up with one of my other friends, with whome I traded the gun for a way out of my dream. I woke up right after that.

Sometimes I'll have dreams where I'll see random things flashing different colors and getting bigger and smaller. It wouldn't be so weird if it happened like once, but it happens at least twice a month. Some of the things that I see in my dreams that do that include:

Skeletons
Lava Lamps
Dogs
Random people (people I know, and celebrities)
Hats
Cans
Maps
Mirrors
Fire

That's what my weird "on-crack" dreams are like.

My dreams can get really weird for a few reasons:

1) They tend to start to bleed into each other in interesting ways.
2) I am complete aware of the fact I am asleep and have total control over what happens
3) Even though number two is true I am still able to convince myself the impossible could happen

One good example of this is a dream I had a few nights ago: It started with me chating on the forums. I than agreeded to meet with the guy. I, for some unknown reason decied I could dig a tunnel by kicking in my wall and digging. Even though there should have been no dirt there. After a while of digging I met a friend, he had been digging from the other side. Then I learn he has moved to Springfield, yes the one the Simpsions live in. Up to that point I was just seeing where the dream would go but after that I decied to shift it a little. I ended up back home were I convinced myself that I could fly simply by not falling. Then I started to hear the noises from my house and woke up.

Sidenotes:
Sometimes instead of dreaming I just replay old memories, once I replayed my second brithday, and there is no video record and i never saw pictures or even heard about it before then. Also, sometimes I just get black. Its not like I can't rememeber the dream because I get the feeling I'm dreaming but nothing happens just black.

I think my most recent, weirdest dream would be about FFX.

I was seeing through Yunas eyes and it was the wedding scene. So Tidus and co race up to save me/yuna... except... minnie mouse is in their group.... Well... I'm standing at the alter, with Seymour, about ready to throw up, because... I mean... it's seymour!

And all of the sudden. Minnie's nose just starts growing bigger and bigger. So I run forward and grab her and chuck her over the side of the bridge-thingy. Once she hits the water below... she exploads!
Well that moment kept replaying in my mind for awhile, until they decided to continue with the wedding. So it came to the dreaded kiss.. (ugh) so I/Yuna kisses Seymour and instead of just balling up my fists like Yuna does. I go, "Bleeeeeeh!" And then punch him, right in the face. He ran off, crying like a sissy boy... Then minnie came back and I threw her off the bridge again, making her blow up again...

That was... a psycho dream. I decided to lay off of FFX after that... heh.

The hell? Didn't we already have this thread like a week ago?

The dream I had last night was strang. I was in a 16bit game were you fight constant enemy's then go to the next dream.
Then It went to a DBZ like fight with a Street fighter Turbo fighting system but we were fighting DBZ style and I was Goku. We were on the last fight when the guy said" This would be more fun if i didnt have heart problems" Then right before I could strike the final blow, he has a heart attack.
It then went to me, Theif, and Fighter (I guess I was BM) and we had to revive RM in this temple. So inorder to revive him, he had to search the web for his sprite.

Actually, you don't even see black when you're asleep. If you sleep and don't dream, then you wake up and it feels like you've been asleep for a few seconds. And people always dream, sorry to type; the mind forces all the stress and information that's unneeded from your mind, and it dreams while doing so. I sometimes have the misfortune of having my own dreams erased as they go along, and so I wake up wondering what I was dreaming about.

Does anyone really ever have a dream that ends? I think dreams just keep going on and on until you wake up. And sometimes you wake up in the middle of a dream(usually do to outside forces, such as noise or being acted upon by an object).

On-topic, my dreams are too strange. They make CheshireThief's dreams look normal. But, my dreams are a personal thing I don't want to share. I just wanted to add my comments about dreaming.

Have you ever woken up from a dream, but everytime you lie down you think your still in it even though your awake.

my dreams usually come in fragments when I remember them.
