Any song writers out there?

I used to have a band before I moved to Alabama, and I loved writing songs (even when we didn't really play a lot). Anyone else write songs? Anyone wanna post some of their lyrics? Come on! I know you're out there!

Ummmm... Well, I make songs, yeah... rarely ever write songs though.

Actually, the only one I've written recently is some kind of electronic ballad fusion... damned if I know what to call it

+edit: electronic ballad fusion in regards to what it sounds like :end edit+

Anyways, wrote it sometime mid-January, EXACTLY as I "heard" it in my head -- a soft/smooth female voice actually; exactly the type of voice I don't have access to! And my voice isn't anywhere near suited for singing, so blarg.. ¬_¬ -- , first lyriced song I've written for a couple of years, so excuse the obvious amatureness.

Yeah, I like them (the lyrics). I wish I could hear the tune you're imagining, I'm sure it would add a lot.

Here's a little ditty I put together last year, coming down from the false euphoria of overspending at a gaming convention. If you've ever heard "The Wild Rover" performed by an Irish/Celtic group, it will surely aid in your appreciation of this song.

Cute. Real cute.

I haven't heard "The White Rover" before, but nevertheless the lyrics are good, hehe... ;)

Thanks for the ol' positive feedback.

Here's another song, this one more serious, although yet again geekily inspired. A rp I was in, where a vampire desperately wanted to regain his human life, and my mage devised an elaborate ritual in which this very song was to be sung, at sunrise, in the final culmination of the spell's power. He would be cured of his curse, or forever destroyed.(Hey, I take my inspiration where I can find it.)

The ritual never came to pass, but the hopeful song remains, a testament to new beginnings and our ability to change.

I thought I was reading the lyrics to a theme song to something. Very nice. It kind of reminded me of Utada Hikaru's "Simple and Clean", I just imagined her voice with those lyrics.

Hey... how ironic. I have just finished a music writing class in school, and have already produced two pieces. Neither have lyrics yet (The first I don't think will have it, I don't really like it that much, but the second one is kick-ass!), but I can see some coming into the future. Who knows... I just might be a famous songwriter one day.

Maybe... songwriter/singer? Who knows, huh?
