Finest Single Webcomic Ever

Seriously, read Instant Classic #100. It is the God-damned Gone with the Wind of Webcomics.

In bold, beautiful Widescreen, no less!

If you've never read IC before, you might want to read through the archives first. It might not make too much sense otherwise.

Oh yeah, and if you don't have Quicktime, definitely make sure to get it before viewing. Definitely.

(Apologies to Brian, he delivers superlative entertainment with nigh-superhuman frequency, but this is just out of this and all other imaginable worlds.)

Beautttiful.
Edit: Sorry about the one word post rule. Won't happen again.

Aye, although the use of music on a website always annoys me, however appropriate its use is in a given situation.

You know, I normally take these with a grain of salt and go, "Sure, greatest ever, right," but I think for once the comic actually lived up to the hype. I read the 1 comic before reading the whole thing, and it was awsome and made me want to go back and read the whole thing. It is, quite possibley, the greatest webcomic ever.

Lycanthrope 04-23-2004 05:53 PM

same here. It wasn't so much funny as just moving, kinda... like reading a work of really good literature.

Nique 04-23-2004 06:00 PM

wow. That was pretty good. The music worked, although if there was anyway to hide the quicktime bar, that would've helped *just for the effect*

But this is a FAR cry from 'best webcomic ever', if indeed you mean that literally.

Lycanthrope 04-23-2004 06:21 PM

I'm not sure, you show me a better single comic (not comic series), and I'll back down, but I've yet to see one. Like any art, the value can only be measured in how much it moves. While this didn't bring me to visibly show my emotions, i.e. start crying, no other comic one comic has ever effected for as long as this one, it has lingered since I read it last night to now.

IHateMakingNames 04-23-2004 06:24 PM

The quicktime bar is there so you can stop the music (I think)

But I personally didn't see anything to special with the comic...

Nique 04-25-2004 12:36 AM

I've had comics make me laugh out loud, or inspire me to do something cool... kinda like how the rocky movie made me want to run up some steps shadow boxing with the rocky theme playing...

That was cool, and you're entitled to your preferance and opinion, but I can't say it was revolutionary or anything.... Just really clever.
