I would prefer the england esque setting to an L5R setting but that's just personal opinion. Also I like the no magic rule. This is looking to be a non magical non asbeating RP so why not play that up? It'll be a nice change.
Regarding my potential charecter: The prime minister is in charge of the assets of the realm but surely he doesn't actually handle the finances? I would imagine he'd be far too busy with other affairs of state for that but anyway 2nd lord of the tresaury looks good at the moment though it is subject to change... |
Seeing as I apparently have first call on Prime Minister and Lord Chamberlain, I can't decide between the second most powerful person in the country, or the main advisor of the most powerful person in the country...
|
Actually the Prime minister is third most pwerful. Lord High Chancellor is the second most, since he is the highest judge in the land.
|
can i add head of all military affars (SP) or is that taken?
|
That's the Prime Minister.
The thing I like about L5R is that there are only a few combat spells. The spells over all are just roleplaying aids. Like there is a wind spell called Secrets on the wind. The spell allows you to listen in on a conversation, even if your half way around the world. |
i'll take it.
|
No you won't. The top 5 are reserved for senior Role Players.
Here is the choice for setting. The court of Queen Celes during the English Rennaisance Winter court of Empress Celes in a mythic Japanese setting. |
ok, assistant prime minister. not like a desk job just in controll of a small portion of the army and anything I do can be overruled by prime minister
|
I'd actually go for the Japanese setting. That way, I can be a trade liason from Portugal.
Because Portugal is awesome. |
Can't really decide what job I want... Either way I am rich and powerful, just in different ways.
Prime Minister - Controls the money and army Lord Great Chamberlain - Law of the land (I think) Lord High Chamberlain - Is the advisor of the most powerful person in the country (What does Head of the Royal Family mean anyway?) |
