Embarrassing DDR
 

I was thinking about how often I've been embaressed playing DDR and it's been quite a few times.
One time I was playing and my foot slipped on the down arrow and I wanged my knee on the center square.
Another time I jumped to hit the left and down arrow at the same time and fell off the side into a bunch of people.
Well have fun reminiscing even if you don't post:)

I accidently played DDR in public! Oh boy, was my face red!

I've never had any embarassing moments myself on a DDR machine, but one of my friends was playing on the left side and went a little too far to reach the left arrow and fell off.

Home version however, I've fallen TONS of times... of course, those pads aren't exactly the most secure >_>;

I bet you could go sledding with them.
I'll be damned if I use them for anything else.

Lol.... I reeeeeally wanna get one of those foamy type pads... Ya know, the ones that are I think close to fifty bucks. It'd be damn well worth it just so I wouldn't go sliding halfway across the room trying to do just one heavy song.

Oh but you do. My DDR club has them and they aren't too secure either. I was playing Afronova Primevil this weekend and skidded into a wall, yes a wall. That was embarassing. Not the first time I've fallen off either. My friend actually was reaching for the right arrow, tripped, fell into the person he was playing with and then into a crowd of people. Oh, how I wish I had my camera.

The only thing close to embarrassing I have is looking bad next to my friend... Or maybe it was playing in some obscenely public area... One of which I know for sure.

Let's see... last time I played in public... it was a big tournie we were having... some jerk offs from out of town decided to come and try to tell us how to run it... and bossed me around like some little kid (me being one of the people who set up the tournament in the first place). I got EXTREMELY pissed with that prick, and bailed with a bunch of other contestants who didn't appreciate that they were bossing everyone around and played DDR in another town.

So yeah. My friend (who was the main person running the tournament) found out about the guy bossing me around, and told him he wasn't allowed to come back there again, then apologized profusely to me for that ever happening. Not that it matters anymore. The closest DDR machine from where I live is at least a hour and a half away. ._.; Guess I'll just be slippin' and slidin' in the living room from now on.

Playing in Public is no prob for me... We had something called Downtown Saturday night during early fall and some guys setup Stepmania out in the middle of the street. Many people would come along, watch, and be amazed.

The only thing that gets me is when I happen to be wearing one of the pairs of my jeans that are too big for me now(I've lost weight) and I forgot to wear a belt. I'll be playing DDR and almost pants myself...

haha!

I've never embarrassed myself other than doing really badly. Which I do every time I play. :p
