Greatest Generation RP (interested?)
 

I'm thinking about doing a WWII RP, all from the viewpoint of allied soldiers in the European theater, approximately around the time that the U.S. sent its soldiers to aid the allies. There could be other installments, like the Pacific and African theaters, and possibly naval campagins, but for now, I'm checking interest, as this will take some serious research on my part if i'm going to do it any justice. Post here if you'd like in on this.

Come again? Just because you can't rip off some goofy looking asshole from some random anime for an impossibly trite and impossibly overpowered character makes it too resrictive?

Hmmm, no shit you would be soldiers. Hell why not get creative and be in the Air Corps and get shot down, maybe a washed up sailor? Why not part of the French resistance!? Maybe I should edit the thread to say "only sign up if you have any f-ing clue as to the defining moments of western civilization."

It looks like someone has an attitude problem...

Either way, I think the new problem will be that every character is going to be 6'6", muscular, lean, ruggedly handsome, master of firearms who can mow down an army of Nazi's left-handed.

Then again, that's what just about every character on this board is like, so what the the hey.

Just because you are an idiot high doesn't mean there aren't many choices for this RP.

Not quite an attitude problem, it's more of a problem with an attitude. Its the dumbshit I wanna be in an anime, look at me, I'm an Otaku (What the hell is that, anyways?), my guy is teh l33t kiII()rZ!, I'm cool and brooding because I wear a trenchcoat, and general BS that gets to me. That and the assumption that it would be inflexible. Precisely what's wrong with historically accurate RPing? Didn't anyone here like the MOH games??

There's also research scientist, who may or may not be german and may or may not be working with Albert Einstein.

Also, many of the choices up there have different sub-types like (fighter pilots and bomber pilots at that time were definately not the same thing)

Oh, and do you get to pick which side of the war you are on?

It would probably be us all being on the Allies side.
