Great, I'm going into game withdrawl...

This seems to happen at the same time every year...I've hit that point in time where there seems to be NOTHING to play.

Nothing on the 360 is enticing me to play it.

The Wii is barely even turned on.

My DS gets turned on for maybe half an hour before I get bored.

I mean hell, even TF2 can't get me to play it for very long.

Long story short I'm in desperate need for a solid game to play that's going to keep me entertained for at least a week or two. It can be PC, DS, Wii, 360...whatever, I'm not picky. However it can't be too expensive as I'm cash-poor right now (turns out IKEA's business model is actually the biggest scam in the world and now I'm out cash and still have to assemble my furniture). Calling on the good taste of NPF to find me something worth playing. I like RPGs in general, anything with a solid amount of lore, shooters, some puzzle games...you name it.

If you'd really like an adequate assessment of my situation, I can't even bring myself to play Cave Story.

Enjoy.

Perhaps you could take a break from games in general? No point forcing yourself to play something if your heart is not really in it.

I work at EB Games, it's not really an option. :p

e: Why have I never heard of this website before!?

I would look into Death vs Monstars, which is like a Geometry Wars plus money.

Gamefly, by the way, kicks ass. Although...

Hell, this is serious.

I dunno if this is your style, or even in your price range, but I'd sugest Oblivion if you haven't gotten it already.

Resi 5.

Seriously, play it now! And rope your friends into playing it with you. Good times will be had.

Yeah I dunno, there's just something about my Wii lately where I look at it and it screams in a very high pitched voiced "If you turn me on, I will shrink your balls".

I'm actually debating reinstalling Oblivion on my computer but then it becomes a question of how many mods do I want to install. Last time I had probably a good 15 gig of Oblivion crap lying around on the external drive. It's kind of the last ditch game.

e: I'm going to play some RE5 tonight at my buddy's apartment and I'm really hoping that'll be enough for me to sit down with another game and be like "hey, I could really play through this.".

Figure out what kind of game you want to play, look on wikipedia for a list of games of that genre, sift through that list until you find something interesting, and then play it.

You should be able to get pretty much anything interesting that is PS1 or older game brought to your attention via that method.

Damn see, if anyone could bail me out of this mess, I believe it'd be Mondt. Zack Fair baby.
