Truce 05-24-2004 08:41 PM

Truce nodded, and complied with Gabe's request. "Gabe, you're piloting John's fighter; John, you're piloting mine; I'm piloting Scott's; and Scott, you're piloting Gabe's. Any questions?

"One more thing, before we go, can I ask a question about the map of the course instructor? Why does it appear that one of the checkpoints is off the designated path?"

Squishy Cheeks 05-24-2004 09:01 PM

"Because the path is my recommended path you don't have to follow it"

Osterbaum 05-25-2004 07:34 AM

"Ok. So, who goe's first?" John said. "Let's see who gets that beer..."

Squishy Cheeks 05-25-2004 07:56 PM

"Actually, me boyos the idea is you go at the same time." John said as he lined his fighter up in front of the first check point. " And to make it more interesting. The person with the lowest score has KP duty for a week. And if you can't get at least ten check points before I complete the entire track, then you will need to scrub the head with a tooth brush."

Osterbaum 05-26-2004 10:44 AM

ooc: KP?

IC: "Ok, so I say we begin when you ready. Cause I'm ready."

Squishy Cheeks 05-26-2004 11:07 AM

ooc: Kitchen patrol, you have to peel potatoes and such.

Gabe fired up his thrusters hard as he was resting in the hangar. One, because he was bored, and two, to signal the rest of the crew to get moving. "I hate long waits."

Osterbaum 05-26-2004 02:17 PM

"Let's get moving then."

Truce 05-26-2004 11:29 PM

"Will do." Without warning, assuming Scott's ship had already been powered up, Truce activated his remote control and, navigating visually, slowly manuevered it to just behind the instructor's own ship.

Though the others could not see, Truce was grinning. With a plan in mind, he opened his intercom once more. "John, do me a favor and fly my baby just behind Scott's, okay?"

Remember rule number one: Always take the quickest and shortest route to victory.

After all the Instructor's said, and taking a look at the layout of this course, that simplest way to do is obvious. In fact, if taking this risk pays off, and I'm sure that it would, we might have just end up actually beating the instructor in this course.

Of course, the risk could also end with him getting royally screwed over, but he chose to ignore that point. In any case, none of the others would get in trouble, unless they decided to do the same thing.

"Instructor, give the word."

Squishy Cheeks 05-27-2004 07:29 AM

"Gentlemen start your engines." A rigged sequence of lights flashed.

John's ship darted Forward through the check point. The next Check point was directly in front of him.
