ooc: here's a simple design of the course. The numbers are in kilometers.

OOC: Hehe, it looks like a dog sitting up.

This is quite possibly one of the wierdest things I'm ever going to do in my lfe...but if it helps...
Scott had only flown by remote a few times. When he was still working with the transport company, he had to occasionally pilot some of the older automated transports with obsolete/malfunctioning autopilot by remote for docking. This would be faster, and probably not quite as clean, since all of the pilots will probably be flying each other mostly through verbal commands. Computers wouldn't help much in this exercise, short of installing multiple broadcasting video cameras and sensors all over the ship...and that probably wasn't going to happen. "Lemme get this straight...we're all going at the same time?" |
"Meh, I don't care much for beer, considering that I'm too young and all, but I don't care much for crashing either.
"The simplest for all of us to win is for none of us to fly this the course. Of course, assuming that that isn't a valid option it would then be best if we all went in a single line formation, broadcasting only to those who would be piloting our ship (to make it less confusing), who would also be behind us. Taking our movements slowly, we would minimize danger, and maximize our oppourtunities for making it to the points. "Taking risks is fine, but when they are uncalled for is stupid. |
"I forgot to mention if none of you collect at least 10 of the check points I'll keep the case for my self." John hopped in his fighter and closed the canopy.
|
John hopped to his fighters cockpit and did a check on everything. But, hey...should Gabe do the checking...
|
I know that this is to promote teamwork somehow, but... "I still don't like beer," he said as he turned around and started to head for his ship.
. Truce did a once over his ship, making sure that none of the damage sustained yesterday gravely affected his ship. After he was sure that no harm would come to flying he activated his intercom. "Grey Squadron: Rush reporting. I'm ready to fly, how about you guys?" |
"ready and steady." John replied.
|
May as well get this over with.
Scott climbed up to the fighter and began the preflight checks. "Well, if noone here likes beer, at least they might be able to sell it to some other cadet for some coin...Gray squadron: Hazard reporting" |
"I might just take you up on that." Gabe said as he clicked his helmet into position. "Um...maybe it would be a good idea to run down the list of who's controlling who once more."
