The League of Eighties Cartoon Heroes
 

I want a Superteam made out of eighties heroes. There needs to be representatives from different shows filling all the classic archetypes. There can only be one character from every show, and their role on this team should be the same as their primary role in their own show (He-Man, for instance, is not The Brute).

The Leader
The Mechanic
The Girl (there can be more than one girl on the team, but only one obligatory The Girl)
Ethnic character
Disabled character
The Complainer
The Comic relief
The Brute
The kid sidekick (can potentially have two if that's their schtick)
The animal sidekick
The science nerd (similar to, but distinct from the Mechanic)
The Mentor

And I think that covers it. Make your suggestions, and discuss who you'd like to see in different slots. We'll see what kind of team we can build in some sort of vaguely democratic fashion. For simplicity's sake, limit yourself to one nomination per post.

To start, I'd like to humbly submit Sparkplug Witwicky for team mechanic, because DAMN, that guy could build or repair anything.

Why limit yourself to one animal side kick? Why not get 4 animal sidekicks. Each one named after a Renaissance artist. Maybe they are trained in ninjitsu and love their pizza.

I don't know care about all the rest, but Optimus Prime for Leader.

All I am saying is that the Turtles worked as a team. Not as individuals.

Fine failing that I nominate Splinter.

I can get behind Splinter for mentor.

Why not a Main Villain as well?
