Clans

Crab: The crab live in the Southernmost Empire. Fierce and powerful warriors. They protect the empire from the Shadowlands and defend the Kaiu wall

families:
Hida: The decendants of the Kami Hida, Brother of the first emporer. Leaders of the Crab Clan and brave warriors.
Hiruma: The scouts of the Crab Clan
Kuni: Dark sorcerors whose magic protects the Crab
Yasuki: Wily merchants who tirelessly supply the Crab with the needed supplies to wage ceaseless war on the demons of Jigoku

Crane: The emporers left hand. The most honorable of the clans, Great artists and swordsmen
Families:
Doji: The children of the Kami Doji, sister of the first emporer. skilled courtiers and proud duelists.
Kakita: Known as the best duelists in the empire, although that is contested often by the Mirumoto. Also the finest poets, and artists in the empire.
Asahina: The shugenja family of the Crane, Great craftsmen of Nemuranai (magic items)
Daidoji: Merchants and warriors, typically they are the ones to do the dirty work of the Crane clan.

Dragon: Mystics from the North of the Empire. Somewhat aloof, and often confusing.

Togashi: A monastic order set up by the eldest brother of the first emporer. These monks are said to have super human abbilities.
Mirumoto: If the Kakita are the best duelists then the Mirumoto are the best swordsmen. The de facto leaders of the Dragon Clan.
Kitsuki: This family is the political arm of the Dragon Clan. They are also the best magistrates in the empire (Think C.S.I.)
Agasha: The Shugenja family of the dragon, skilled in magical and non magical chemistry

Lion: The Emporers right hand. The greatest army in the empire.
Families:
Akodo: The decendants of Akodo, Strongest brother of the first Emporer. The greatest tacticians in the empire.
Matsu: The fiercest warriors in the empire
Kitsu: The Shugenja family of Lion. They speak and gaurd the Ancestors.
Ikoma: The record keepers of the empire.

Phoenix: The greatest magic users in the empire the Phoenix are the most Pious.

Isawa: The Five masters rule the phoenix. The Isawa are the most powerful shugenja in the empire.
Shiba: The decendants of Shiba, brother of the first emporer, The Shiba are the Yojimbo of the Shugenjas of the Phoenix.
Asako: philosophers and devout believers in the concept of reincarnation. They practice an odd form of magic

Scorpion: The emporers underhand, hated and dispised for their lack of honor. The scorpion are known for doing the Empires dirty work.
families:
Bayushi: The Daimyo of the Bayushi is known as the master of secrets for good reason. Decendants of the first emporers brother of the same name. The Bayushi courtiers are skilled and their bushi are deadly, they also are the head oof a network of ninja spies.
Soshi: The main shugenja family of the Scorpion. Their magic is mainly involved in shadow and deception.
Shosuro: Courtiers and spies is the easiest way to describe the shosuro family, they are also the deadliest of assassins.
Yogo: The yogo family is a cursed one. They are doomed to betray the ones they love. Despite this fact the Scorpion have found a use for them. This is another Shugenja family of the Scorpion.

Unicorn:The semi nomadic Unicorn have recently returned to the empire. They are barbarians.
Families:
Shinjo: The Shinjo family is decended from the kami Shinjo, sister of the first emporer. They are known for their horsemanship
Utaku: The battlemaidens of the utaku are the best cavalry force in the empire.
Iuchi: The Iuchi family practice gaijin magic.
Ide: The merchant and courtier family of the unicorn. They have connections throughout the empire and Burning sands.
Moto: The Moto were a desert people the unicorn encountered on their journey. The moto are true strangers in a strange land. They have a connection to the shadow lands when their Daimyo, tsume, lead a force of their best warriors into the Shadowlands to conquer them. Tsume now is the greatest general of those blasted lands. The moto that stayed have sworn to remove the stain upon their souls and honor that Tsume caused.

Mantis: The mantis live just off the cost of the empire and are decendants of Osano-wo, the Kami of Thunder. They are mercenaries and pirates. They have no family name.

Hare: The hare are the best trackers in the empire. They only have one family, the Usagi family
Fox: The Kitsune family of the fox are known to have a connection to the animal spirits they take their name from.
Centipede: A shugenja family bound to the imperial family. they are presided over by the Moshi family.
Sparrow: The Suzume family are the best story tellers in the empire.
Ronin: No family no clan

And now I realize why I couldn't find info, this is based on the Card Game Lord of the 5 Rings if I'm not mistaken.

There is also the RPG system, and there was a minature battle game. My Agasha Fire Blossoms and Ise zumi wiped out an entire force of Matsu heavy infantry in one attack.

Clan: Scorpion- Family: Shosuro

Appearance: Rarely not seen without his black ninja outfit. But when he doesn't have it, he looks mostly like a normal person, with hair that goes into a small braid.
Bio: Born into the Shosuro family, Jiro's fate was already decided. Fortunately, he was extremely good at what he did. Cunning, a master liar, snreaking abilities, and had incredible aim with poison darts. He can also stay in one position for over 5 hours without moving, making him the perfect spy. Jiro walks almost completely silent, even when not on missions, so many find him rather odd, and wonder if he's a demon of some sort. Seems like a normal good guy, and is known as Shosuro Daisetsu when he's not talking to those who are within The Scorpion or at courts.

You'll want to take a courtier persona as cover too J man and your name should be Shosuro Jiro.

Also If Celes wants she can be somebody else but I'd rather she be the Emperess Hantei the 21st. The Hantei Dynasty takes the name of the first emporer. And since I don't want to begin to deal with the clan war we will need to have the Hantei still be in power.
