Oi, bringing sprite comics in here? For shame.

I believe the publishers specifically requested that it be used as a way for the next generation characters to pass the torch back to the reboot characters. Which is kinda stupid, so they did the best they could with it.

I want my DS9 movie. Or at least just a Star Trek film with a bunch of the Next-Gen Era characters from TNG-DS9-VOYAGER.

So... how about that Enterprise with its Captain Archer who got mentioned in the new movie?
You know with the new movie, the only part of Trek that still happened ironically is in fact Enterprise!

I understand the plot complaints but honestly after Nemesis I would have been happy with just about any plot. This movie far exceeded my expectations and I actually enjoyed the entire thing.

I'd also like to say that part of the goal with this movie was to reinvent the franchise for a younger generation and I think they've done that. I help out with my old Highschool marching band and we went with the band director, the staff (which is all of us 20-odd year old people who just come help out) and a bunch of the kids, and some of my staff friends had never seen the series before. I have one friend who went back home and acquired TOS and now I have this weekend booked off so he can watch them for the first time.

Kudos to the movie.

I have high hopes for the next movie. Not only will it be the second film of the particular series, but they got all the introduction stuff out of the way and we can have a meatier plot too.

Sisko still exists outside of normal time and space, incidentally, so at least he's okay.

Besides, now we can get a movie about the Klingons getting their foreheads back.

Plus we get to see Chris Pine play Kirk again and for some reason I really, really enjoyed his Kirk.

Yeah, he did something different from Shatner. I think it's called "acting."
