Real Life

"...Wha.?"

The World

"That was a complete accident. I mean, I was mad, so I pressed the button...I didn't expect the spell to go off."

IHateMakingNames 05-03-2004 09:26 PM

The World

After about an hour, Ubica was back to level 20 and almost level 21, just like he was before the glitch. After being escorted back to the gateways by his high leveled Twin Blade friend, they went different ways. The high level wanted to go PK some high ranking Crimson Knights, while Ubica would die in he tried that.

After being transported to the Chaos Gateway, Ubica headed out into the wilds to see if he could find any random people to PK.

Truce 05-04-2004 12:10 AM

Real Life

"I doubt it."

The World

Stepping closer to the mage, Ganelle still grinned. "Come on, you can tell me...how'd you do it? Please? I really want to know..."

Elminster_Amaur 05-04-2004 01:18 PM

Real Life

"Why is she pestering me? I just want to get to that rare monster."

The World

"I would tell you if I knew how it happened, but I don't know. What kind of monster is it again?"

darkt0aster 05-04-2004 01:30 PM

The World
Even though he had ignored the somewhat boastful Longarm's inquiries earlier, he decided to check and see if he hadn't found a party member yet. After a few minutes of searching, Arenis came across the character. "Hi, name's Arenis. I heard you're offering to group...Are you still interested?"

Truce 05-04-2004 09:52 PM

The World

Ganelle pouted and crossed her arms. "You know, if you don't tell me how you did it then I won't tell you what kind of monster it is."

Tenjin Matsukaru 05-05-2004 01:31 AM

"Hi, name's Arenis. I heard you're offering to group...Are you still interested?"

Aashan stopped mid stride and swung around "Arenis huh? I'm Ashaan. Pleased to meet you. I was about to go and do some leveling up you coming with?"

Seraphi 05-05-2004 03:27 AM

Real Life
Daren burst into his room and hit the lights, illuminating the large room with the nice celing-fan lights he'd chosen when his parents had this house built. Yeah, it was extravagant, but he didn't care - it was his, and it was away from everyone else. The louder to blare his music! He strode over to his turntables, thinking of what to play as he threw his bookbag down on the bed. "Stupid detention...stupid school...some drum 'n bass would be awesome right now..." He quickly pulled an appropriate record from his collection and set it on the turntable, moving the needle into position and setting the mixer to just play the record. He then moved over to his computer, and sat in the chair with a sigh. "Okay, time to see if I can't make a little headway without some little PK creep knockin' my head off..."

The World
Seraph zapped into existence next to the Chaos Gate in Mac Anu, looking around slowly. The serenity of this place never ceased to amaze him, even though it seemed not to affect the other players present as they bustled around, busy with whatever it was they were doing. Probably selling goods they stole from someone else, he thought wryly. Shaking his head, he started looking around for someone who'd be willing to party with a newbie...

darkt0aster 05-05-2004 10:39 AM

Real Life
Thats good. Thought I wasn't even going to find a decent group today...

The World
"Nice to meet you as well. I'm ready to go if you are." Arenis grinned. "I don't mind where we head to, I'm pretty flexible since I use mostly buffs."

Otaku Son 05-05-2004 12:16 PM

((Tenjin, darkt0aster, decide on the party leader and then have the party leader post actions for both characters.

Note To Everyone: We're coming close to the 100 post limit, which means the thread will be locked. DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER THREAD. I WILL MAKE THE THREAD.))

"Yay, we finally got to the bottom of the dungeon!" the Wavemaster exclaimed as she opened the Gott Statue's chest. After a moment, she had a frown on her face. "Awww, I have too many items."
Otaku burst out laughing. "That's what you get for being greedy and wanting all the items!" The Gott Statue then began falling into the pit below it. "And, since you've completed this dungeon, you can't get the items."
"You've got some mouth for a Crimson Knight," the Heavy Blade said.
"You guys have some nerve for asking a Crimson Knight to join you and then act like snobs."
"Cut it out or I'll report you to the admin."
"Go ahead! What do you think the Crimson Knights are!?"
The two were silent and just looked at each other. Otaku's bluff had worked!
"Let's just get back to the Root Server and kick this asshole out of our group," the Heavy Blade said. "Then I can go over to your place and we can make out."
"Fine by me," the Wavemaster said.
Someone used a Sprite Ocarina, and the three were encased by the rings of gold. They then reappeared in the field. The Wavemaster chose to return to the Root Server, and soon they were there. Otaku was now alive again, rather than a ghost.

Real Life
The "removed from party" message appeared on Kyle's screen. Not that he really cared, since those two had already wasted enough of his time. He moved his character to the Recorder, saved his data, then began searching for something to do.

The World
Kyle sighed as he continued to look through the people. Some of the usuals were gone, but he didn't want to be stuck with another team of idiots. Maybe he could find someone useful.

Seraphi 05-05-2004 04:59 PM

Real Life
Daren set the can of Jolt on the desk and picked up the controller again. He couldn't believe what he was seeing on the monitor - a character dressed in silver and red Knight's armor was looking around, as though for someone to travel with. "He must be one of those Crimson Knight dudes...they're anti-PK, right? I should be safe with him..."

The World
Seraph slowly approached the man clad in red and silver armor, stopping a respectful distance from him. "Um...sir? Are you waiting for someone? Because...if you aren't...would you mind traveling with me for a bit? I won't slow you down, I swear." Realizing that he was rambling, he went silent, waiting expectantly for a response.

Real Life
"...damn it. Now I sound like an idiot, and a newbie. I'll be lucky if he doesn't laugh at me."

Elminster_Amaur 05-05-2004 05:29 PM

The World

"Wha..I told you that I don't know what happened. So if you don't want to go after the monster, I can handle myself fairly well in a level 10 dungeon."

Solares starts walking further into the dungeon without looking behind to see if Ganelle followed him.

Real Life

"Why is she pestering me?"

Truce 05-05-2004 06:45 PM

ooc-Elminster, do you have AIM? Would you like to do the battle there or through PMs?

Real Life

"Wrong answer." Ravioli was determined to force the person to speak up.

The World

"Ap Do!" The speed scroll was activated onto her, and then was soon followed by a strentgh and magical defense scrolls. Making sure all of her status upgrades were on, she disbanded the party and charged into the room after Arenis.

Though he would be warned when the battle started (as well as the party disbanding notice), she hoped that he would first assume it was a monster, which would allow her to ambush him. However, it didn't matter, one way or another she would take him down.

"I'll make you tell the truth," she muttered under her breath.

Elminster_Amaur 05-05-2004 06:55 PM

ooc: I have ICQ if that helps.

Real Life

"Huh?"

The World

Solares turns around, for he was expecting the party disband notice, and was very surprised at what he saw. Ganelle was rushing toward him at a very high speed, so jumps out of the way as fast as possible.

IHateMakingNames 05-05-2004 08:28 PM

The World

In the distance, Ubica noticed some female player charging at a Wavemaster, who jumped to the side to avoid her.

"Heh, I came out looking for some one to PK, and here I find some one about to PK some one else. I guess I'll just kill the winner." Ubica said to himself as he circled around in the distance, staying out of sight will slowly getting closer.

CelesJessa 05-05-2004 08:36 PM

-Real Life-

Kilee sat at her desk, reading while she was playing "The World". She sighed, "Nothing is happening..." She said, glancing up from her book. She had moved her character into a pub and was waiting for somebody to want to join her, but no luck yet. Most of the people who had asked her so far were a bunch of loser newbies that just wanted to know if she really was a girl. <morons...>

-The World-

Kaori sat in a pub, just waiting. She had been waiting awhile for people to try and team up with her, and no luck had come to her thus far. After awhile of just sitting around, wondering if people wanted to join up with her, a small group of people walked up to her: a heavy axman and a blademaster

Before long, she had relunctantly agreed to go with them. They were all a few levels below her, and probably would make her do all of the work, but anything was better than just waiting around, <Plus, it's good to help people who aren't extremely familiar with The World out...>

Truce 05-05-2004 08:57 PM

ooc #1-Damn, I didn't know that Ubica was in the dungeon too. Not that that is a problem.

ooc #2-ICQ? Nope, don't have it. Also-The Key Axe has Life Drain and Skill Drain abilities.

Real Life

"Noob." It solidified his image of the person behind the screen.

[/b]The World[/b]

There were several problems with Solares plan; for one thing Wavemasters weren't exactly known for their speed. Also, Ganelle had Ap Do cast on her, increasing her rate of movement. Finally, Heavy Axes had weapons with reach.

That meant that Solares was in more than a little bit of trouble.

Swinging her giant axe horizontally just after Solares got in range, there was little hope of the wavemaster dodging. "Now that you're locked in combat you can't escape. Tell me what you did to screw up the system, now!"

Elminster_Amaur 05-05-2004 09:06 PM

The World

Solares, being swiftly overtaken by Ganelle, blocked the first attack with his staff.
"Look, I told you, I didn't do it on purpose!" Solares quickly cast Summon Wryneck AR at Ganelle.

Otaku Son 05-05-2004 09:32 PM

((Elminster, Ecurt, there are rules for battle, if you'll remember. Settle it in PMs, and make sure each PM you send each other you also send to me. Then I'll write a special script just for you two. And it'll be interesting to see two Level 20s, one PKer and the other non-PKer, go at each other.))

Otaku noticed a Blademaster talking to him. However, seeing the Mizuchi equipped on the character, he knew this character was just starting. He didn't really have time for newbies.

"Sorry," Otaku lied, "but I'm looking for a dangerous PKer now. The one that as mentioned on the message boards as being a hacker who attacked inside a Root Server."

The Crimson Knight then headedtowards the pub, passing a group which consisted of a female Twin Blade and male Heavy Axeman and Blademaster. Once he made his way to the bar, he sat down on a stool and ordered an ale.

"Well, well, it's a Crimson Knight," someone said.

"Well, well," Otaku replied as he wrapped his hand around the mug, "it's a Long Arm who used to be a Crimson Knight."

Crim sat down next to Otaku.

Seraphi 05-07-2004 08:06 AM

The World
"Sorry, but I'm looking for a dangerous PKer now. The one that as mentioned on the message boards as being a hacker who attacked inside a Root Server." The Crimson Knight walked off without so much as a backwards glance.

"Well...fine. Guess I'll just go solo for a while..." Seraph walked off towards the Chaos Gate, and stopped in front of it, wondering what keywords to enter. "Ah...hell. It really doesn't matter. I'll either wind up dead or PKed anyway...but still..."

Looking around, he noticed a Twin Blade leading a party consisting of a Blademaster like himself and a Heavy Axeman. He looked at her expectantly and asked, "Excuse me, do you know what a good field for a level 1 would be?"

Real Life
Daren kicked his feet up on his desk and leaned back in his chair, wondering if the Crimson Knight was really looking for that guy, or if he just used it as an excuse. He'd like to think it was the truth; but then, honesty had always been one of his faults. Cracking open a can of Coke, he settled back, keyboard in his lap.

CelesJessa 05-07-2004 11:41 PM

(OOC: I really don't know the feilds to well myself...)

-The World-

Kaori glanced at the Blademaster who had confronted her. "A level one feild? It's been awhile since I've gone to one of those..." She mused to herself, than answered the player, "I'm not exactly positive, but once you get through the Chaos gate, there should be plenty of places for you to level up in." She thought for a moment, "Or any place outside of a town would probably work as well."

-Real Life-

Kilee sighed, "I really should go back and get familiar with the land again..." She glanced at the screen, "I didn't realize how long it's been since I've played..."

BassDouken 05-08-2004 12:40 AM

Real Life
Mark logged off of The World and decided that it would be best to get some sleep for the night. I have a big day tomorrow. Recording, then a date. Life moves too fast. And with that he fell onto his bed and was asleep within a minute.

Otaku Son 05-08-2004 12:43 AM

((What do people not understand about GameFAQs? I might as well have not had posted the link to GameFAQ's .Hack//Infection section.))

"So, what're you doing in a bar?" Crim asked Otaku.
"Drinking ale," Otaku replied. "What does it look like?"
"The Crimson Knights usually guard Subaru."
"Well, there's your keyword there: usually. I haven't been called by Ginkan, so—"
As if on cue, the leader of the Crimson Knights busted through the door of the pub.
"Otaku!" he hollared.
"Damn," Otaku muttered into the cup of ale as he downed it.
Otaku rose to his feet and turned to face Ginkan. The Crimson Knight's face might have been concealed, but Otaku could tell he was extremely annoyed under that mask.

Real Life
"What does this jerk want this time?" Kyle said more than asked. "Probably 'Subaru' this or 'adventuring' that. I'm surprised he doesn't tell me to kiss his ass."

The World
"I hear you were adventuring, again," Ginkan said.
"Yeah, and? We've already had this arguement."
"And that's why you should know not to adventure and to protect Subaru. That's your purpose as a Crimson Knight."
"Look. Subaru has several bodyguards. And I didn't receive any flashmail from anyone, so I figured I wasn't need. Is she even signed in?"
"No. But had she been, you were to be prepared and ready to protect her."
"She's a Heavy Axeman. She should be able to take care of herself. And our goal is to prevent PKing, if I remember correctly. And by adventuring, I can find the PKers."
"Subaru is not of a high level because she despises fighting, so she needs protection. And while PKers are our concern, Lady Subaru is our top priority. And she is logged in now, so yor presence is requested." Ginkan looked at Crim. "And what have I told you about that vagabond?"
"Hey, he was just sitting here," Crim defended Otaku, "minding his own business. I just happened to be in the same vacinity. That doesn't mean we were talking."
The muscles around Ginkan's face tightened as if he was narrowing his eyes under that helmet. He then looked back to Otaku.
"Lady Subaru," he said. "Now."
Otaku reached into hi pouch to pull some G, then placed it in the empty mug. He then followed Ginkan out of the pub and to the Chaos Gate. Ginkan gated to Lady Subaru's location, and Otaku followed.

Seraphi 05-08-2004 02:50 AM

((Hey, don't get angry, now...I'm playing a newb, remember? He's not gonna know the fields, even though I could have come up with a dozen of them at random off the top of my head.))

The World
Seraph scratched his head a little, then sighed. "Okay, thanks. I'll just have to try my luck and see how it goes. Once you're free, look me up - the name's Seraph. You seem like you'd be fun to party with. Well...seeya round, ne?" He turned to the Chaos Gate, and stood for a moment, thinking.

Real Life
"Jeez...I thought people of a higher level were supposed to know this kinda stuff. Oh well..." He selected the option on the Chaos Gate menu that brought up a random keyword - in this case, Delta Server, Bursting, Orange, Scent. With a shrug, he confirmed the location, watching his character gate out. "Here goes nothing..."

The World
Seraph disappeared through the Chaos Gate, the familiar three rings surrounding him as he warped off to a random field...

((Seraph will be off trying to level for about an hour or so. According to my version of .hack//infection, which I have running, this field is Battle Lv. 3, wood element...so it'll be a good challenge for him, he'll probably come back around level 3 or so.))

Otaku Son 05-09-2004 09:01 PM

((Yes, but Jessa's not playing a newbie.))

Otaku yawned slightly as he walked with Lady Subaru and the other three Crimson Knights. So far they had fought a couple monsters, but sadly, even Subaru couldn't defend herself from a Level 4 monster.

Real Life
Kyle glanced at the clock, seeing it was 8:30. He was really bored now, and debated signing out. Of course, Ginkan would never let him hear the end of "abondoning Lady Subaru." So, Kyle was stuck for however long Subaru was going to be in this field.

The World
"Over there!" one of the Knights called.
Otaku looked up to see a PKer was on the field, attacking someone. Otaku grinned as he rushed towards the PKer, leading the group of Crimson Knights. Otaku began hacking at the offender, and the other three followed suit. Soon, the PKer was dead.
"Are you alright?" Subaru asked the attacked person.
"You idiots," the man said. "He was defending himself from me. I'm the PKer."
With that, the PKer announced his Revolver attack and performed it.
