Project Trico - Leaked Trailer?
 

So, this Trailer leaked out today It seems to belong to the 3rd brainchild from the creatores of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.

And it seems to take a bit out of each world too...!

Not only the trailer looks beautifull, i actually think this looks / is gameplay footage!!

"A Boy and His Possum-Bird Monster"?

It looks awesome, I eagerly await more news, and I have a bad feeling we'll be forced to watch the Boy's Monster die by the end of the game :(

It's real, but also a year old. It was shown in an internal Sony meeting.

Overall it looks good, but I can't help the notice the difference in detail levels from the griffin-thing and the human character. The creature they detail down to the fur and the feathers...and the kid is generic cartoony.

Yeah, I'm trying to remember when I turned into a graphics whore, but it really jumped out at me...especially the scene where the kid climbs onto the creature's head. Heck, even the armored guy that gets 3 seconds of screen time had more detail in the character model than the kid.

I don't know why, but that bugged me. But like I said, other than that it looks great.

I should note that I haven't gotten to play Ico, so I don't know what the art-style in that game is like, so I don't know if that model for the kid is based off of that, as the creature seems rather colossusi-like.

To be fair, the more detail you add to the kid, the older he's going to look.

It could also be because the trailer doesn't have everything complete.

Looks pretty good, the idea of having an actual Colossi-like creature as an ally throughout the game was completely unexpected, and completely awesome. I see a lot of potential with this idea.

I really liked the idea of having to do puzzles and platforming with the help of a giant... thing.

I just hope the kid is directly connected to the first ICO game and the Gian Furry Thing is somehow connected to SotC.

I'd say its an unfinished product, so the graphics will definitely be touched up by the time it is finally released.

I think it looks delightful, I can't wait to play it. Do you play as the boy and guide the monster through areas? Do you play as the monster and help the boy? Do you play as both? I can't wait to find out. In any case, the monster as a companion definitely puts Agro to shame, much as I love him. A horse can't really compare to a big mouse monster thing with little bitty vestigial wings.

Okay so we already got the element of something that's held captured for unclear reasons and is freed. And in every forum thread I've read about this people are predicting the baby griffon is going to die. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but I don't think Team ICO gets to call their games original for much longer.

Well, that depends on if the griffin thing actually dies or not, doesn't it? Besides, you know if they do it, they will do it better than anyone else would, and it will crush your very soul.
