Looking for 2 games referenced in comic.

All these references are near the beginning of the 8 bit theater comic during the various dream sequences.

I would like to know which game the background for the "Missledoken" cast by black mage is from.

I would like to know where the stat spread sheet Red Mage is dreaming about comes from. I assume it comes from Dungeons and Dragons but I cannot be sure.

If someone could email me at ardamaeus@hotmail.com or post it here I would appreciate it!

The first is Bangai-Oh for the Dreamcast. It's an amazing game. There's a DS version but I've not played it.

The second is some kind of custom Final Fantasy tabletop RPG possibly called, I think, The Returners.

Sweet thanks for the info, I'll put it to good use (bwahahaha)

How exactly could that information be used for nefarious purposes?

He could try and make a Bangai-oh RPG using The Returners character sheets. I'd say that's pretty nefarious.

That wouldnt be not only nefarious... but how in the world are you going to throw all those d20's when you launch your bangai's missile barrage?

To give you some idea on the DS version, the tutorial is hard. I'm pretty sure I stopped playing the game after I was unable to beat the first level after repeated attempts. It's not easy.

The Returners is correct and here is their website. They may have developed the system and/or character sheets in the time since that comic. I always wanted to give that system a shot, but no opportunity has come up yet.

You roll 1d20 * 1d20 to determine how many missiles you shoot, and then 1d20 to determine how much damage each of them do! With a perfect three rolls, you shoot 400 missiles for 20 damage apiece!

Man!!!
