Oh, wow.

The Pain v. Konoha arc finally ended, but seriously? A "Bring everyone the fuck back to life" Jutsu?

I mean, I don't really know what to make of it.

Oh, and 3 guesses who he decided to give the flowers to.

Naruto will die for our sins one day, I tells ya.

I was actually kind of digging this arc, too, until now.

I liked that Konoha got nuked. I liked that some non-villain characters actually died. I liked that Pain brought up (in a terribly ham-fisted way, but still) how utterly fucked up the shinobi system is. I never thought that would get addressed. Never. And, well, I was right, unfortunately. This just reaffirms my belief that Naruto has some secret mind control kekkei genkai that brainwashes people because Pain had no reason to do what he did. He's not Gaara. He's not a confused twelve year old boy. He's a (roughly) thirty year old man. I mean, yeah, his ideals were screwy, but he should have a little more conviction than that. Why would a guy who's so anti-self sacrifice do that, and for a people that aren't even his own?

Plus, it has essentially rendered this entire arc meaningless. Nothing has changed. Naruto has not learned anything or grown as a character. Not really. Way to fail, Kishi.

Ugh, screw it. I'mma stick to FMA for my shonen needs from now on.

well, the town is still technically nuked, just... no one died... so one time skip later no one will notice. Crap that is such an anti-climax. Though you know what was the worst part of that whole chapter? Sasuke is back

Did anyone actually think there would be permanent deaths of important good guys that weren't super noble sacrifices with several strips worth of mourning (Ala 3rd, Jiraiya)? Much less anyone who isn't 'last' generation. It's shonen.

Yeah, I know, and fuck me for hoping otherwise. I was kind of expecting something like this, to be honest. It's just-it would have been nice to be surprised.

oh it will be fixed by then I bet, or at the very least the damage never acknowledged to any real extent. The best, and I find unlikely, is Naruto getting mad that Sasuke couldn't care less that it was

Yeah... I've been dreaming of Sasuke showing up like "I'm here to destroy... Holy shit where'd it go?" But it's not gonna happen.

The 'everyone come back' thing was lame, but I actually liked how Nagato exited the story. It was fitting to the narrative, and while at first I felt it went to quickly, any more dragging and we'd have had a potential "drag-on ball" situation.

I guess we're near the endgame. With the deaths of Sasori, Hidan (Dead by now per the Databook), Kakuzu, Deidara, Itachi, and Nagato/Yahiko/the other Pains, and the reformation of Konan, Akatsuki now consists of only Madara, Zetsu, and Kisame. I'm not counting Sasuke and team Taka since they're only cooperating with Akatsuki to further Sasuke's own goals.

But then again, Danzou's gonna pull something soon, and I suspect another World Ninja War approaches, so for all we know, there'll be a Part 3 after all, and this is just nearing the end of Part 2.

I'm thinking that Killer Bee will make his way to Konaha train Naruto in handling the 9 tails' chakra better, because everyone knows Killer Bee is the best character in the series who gave us the best scene in the entire manga.

Did they need Pein to use that machine that absorbed all the Bijuu? As they're all still kinda trapped inside that statue.
