Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique found effective

http://edition.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/...ine/index.html

David "Bill" Caradine has died under suspect circumstances. It might look like either suicide or auto-erotic asphyxiation, but I'm willing to bet there's a story involving mafia hitmen and possibly Thai hookers.

Any thoughts?

Thats what I know. Tied to neck and bodyparts in Bangkok? Sounds like erotic asphyxiation to me. Was probably with the maid who "found" him.

It's sad though, I actually enjoyed the Kung-fu t.v. series

It just said hanging from a rope. When you say "Tied to neck and bodyparts", it sounds like you're implying the article said it was tied to anything other than his neck.

Depending on what "Other parts" is referring to, I don't know whether to say "Oh" or "Good god!"

Just a question, but what makes people think that rope tied around other parts of his body had anything to do with erotic asphyxiation? Sounds more to me like he was, y'know, tied up and hanged. Of course, that would be an international incident if they said it, and I'm sure Asia as a whole doesn't want that. What with the entire thing with North Korea launching missiles. The murder of an American actor would not reflect well.

Edit: Also, it's a hotel. That means that he probably wasn't the only one with a key. You don't need to force your entry if you have a key.

I hate derailing this into OMGHOWDIDHEDIE, because Carradine was an awesome actor and it is really shitty that he died.

That aside, it's definitely looking like auto-erotic asphyxiation. All the articles that say he hanged himself were printed after the initial reports which described it as "found with a rope around his neck," which makes it seem like they just took this and interpreted it as hanged. As for the rope around his body, the first reports and statements coming directly from people who were at the scene described it as "a rope around his genitals." Other more indirect sources, especially American ones, seem to just specify "around his body," I guess out of a sense of respect.

Back on the topic of Carradine, he was really pretty talented, and one of the best parts of the Kill Bill movies. Haven't seen much Kung Fu though. Will certainly be missed.

IMDB is saying that it's officially auto-erotic asphyxiation, which just sucks. I mean, you know that'll ruin his legacy in a way that no other method of death can.

I think that if you're into AEA this can only be a possible outcome you perfectly know about.

Having said thus, its sad, but I'm curious about the coroner's details when they come out of the woodwork.

Well, we don't know if he did that or someone made it look like he did that. In England in the nineties it was apparently a popular way to kill people and ruin their reputation at the same time. . . of course we have to assume there's some conspiracy at work.
