The exact same can be said about the regular sniper rifle only the regular sniper rifle is better thanks to hitscan.

Except it can be spammed because it's hitscan!

Ugh I hate huntsman holders, all the have to do is hold the mouse button down and let go once someone gets close and it's an instant free kill. I know the sniper rifle was an instakill too but it came with the big downside of having basically zero field of view and near motionless movement speed, neither of which apply to huntsman so they're free to just walk around with it charged and and soon as they run into someone let go and not even aim.

Jarate is good though. The buff it gives is powerful enough to make it worth using but not so powerful it's cheap, plus it has fairly useful other abilities.

I like the huntsman. but really the sniper rifle is better in all situations but the point blank ones.

However I am a little pissed off on the fucking Cloaks. The one I actualy liked The Dead Ringer. but it gets nerfed to oblivion because of one youtube video. But read the discription NOW He regrets posting it now because the DR is almost useless with its drastic nerf. And The Cloak and Dagger is something to hate hate hate! Because one guy in permacloak can just backstab anyone waiting for a teleporter or just constantly camp the teleporters getting into the top 3 because they earn a point every time they do so! But everyone thinks the DR is fine now because it can only be used as a Retreat button. GOD i hate every player who says that. IT was a revenge weapon and A great Infiltration tool. Now its just a alarm to activate the fucking panic button pyros! and a Cowards weapon!

But I LOVE the Cloak and Dagger.

I'll explain in detail.

I play on wifi. So I have lag compensation up the A-hole. Heavy right in front of me, I'm mowed down in 2.5 seconds even if I'm another Heavy. Pyro battle? CB and run or pray a sniper gets the hint and takes him out.

So we come to the Dead Ringer. I would HAVE to have it out before a battle, which kills any reason to have it in the first place. I take one hit and people would be looking for me. Then if I lag, I'm still screwed because someone gets free hits on me.

Now the C&D is a godsend. I can scout the enemy for MUCH longer, making sure a sniper gets comfortable before I stab him. But I can't just appear right behind him. Unbeknownst to others, the spy has a more noticeable reappearing cloak sound now. Oh no... See I'm a more sneaky bastard. I appear near their spawn as the guy that recently died. I pass the soldier (who doesn't shoot me), the demo man who will demo jump ahead, and go as a sniper with his back turned is a prime target for a knife stab who didn't know what hit him.

Yes, it gives me, a laggy spy something to look forward to. A sniper is really evil if they know I'm there. Jarate, a few sniper rounds, and a machete with a higher crit range. But if he turns his back for one second, he's mine.

Yeah i lag too. but when the DR was actually good it allowed me to control my extremely bad luck. I killed 17 players before i died died in one round one time. and that was when i was targeting medics and patients only. Thing is I got it about 3 hours before the nerf was implemented so it pisses me of twice as much as normal players. But in those 3 hours i was able to come up with 42 techniques for when the DR finally gets recognized but the nerf eat up all but the 5 retreat techniques and then players recognized the sound now so it gets even worse for DR spies! Plus with the same update they increased the volume on all the de-Cloaks and made the DR's recognizable decloak even more so.

I need to make the switch to steam, the 360 version is getting boring, we don't get the updates.

Yeah, I'm sittin' here wondering what the hell youse guys are talking about. We don't even get map packs, I don't think. At least, I haven't been able to find any.

We're talking about seriously get on Steam already it's like twenty dollars for the entire Orange Box.

I would, but playing on steam means I need to buy the game again.... and get a decent connection. Im on my house's wireless, and Im getting MAYBE 24.0 Mbps on a good day. and it jumps around a lot. since begining this post Ive gone from 24, to 11, back up to 36, down to 18, and Im hovering between that and 12.

I bought the PC version first, but my computer is.. not that great, to cut out the expletives.
