Am I correct in assuming Fifth's been back stabbed recently?
Either that or backburned. Can't run away when someone's already behind you.

Aerozord 06-17-2009 06:41 PM

if you can see the spy, the spy can see you, if you cant see the spy you might be seconds from death

Seil 06-17-2009 06:50 PM

Here you go, Fifth.

...wow that was actually hilarious.

It was bound to happen eventually. I had trouble deciding atwixt the other Allspeak thing I have.

Anyhow, what's up with the Medic's nail gun? Is it the rate of fire, or that it's insanely powerful, or just that every battle-ready Medic is an arse? I was playing today and it's great for sniping, if you can arc it right. It's great for taking down turrets if you've got a space. It doesn't really have a great spread, though.

Eh, it's basically what the SMG would be if the SMG wasn't the most useless weapon in the game.

Needlegun, and yeah, it's pretty great if you have a handle on the physics involved. Not terribly powerful, but the Blutsauger makes up for it with a health regen factor that can be pretty handy, and if you know how to lead properly with it you can often take down some of the squishier classes like snipers and spies.

Plus, taking advantage of the arcing physics can be handy in larger areas with no ceiling and lots of cover can be fun. You can pretty much just fire wildly into the air at the right angle and often at least hit someone, and you get the satisfaction of being informed of such when using the Blut.

Granted, the odds of it actually having any significant effect on the battle are slim, but you might make a couple people on the opposing team slow their approach for a moment while they try to figure out where the shots are coming from.

I have found Blutsauger is great on a W+M1 pyro, it heals you faster then the flames drain you, and a charging pyro makes and easy target. Ironically the charging pyro probably saved his life by giving him all that health

POS Industries 06-17-2009 09:32 PM

True, you just have to make sure not to back yourself into a corner and hope that the pyro isn't aware that hitting compression blast while flaming briefly extends the hit range of the flame. But if you've already got enough distance to start with you should be fine.
