Help drawing the fairer sex

Hey guys. I have kind of a problem. I Can not for the life of me, Draw girl faces. For the sake of your eyes i will NOT post any of my "Girl" Faces right now. If you have any tips or know any good tutorials it would be greatly appreciated. It doesn't have to be anywhere near my style ether. I have a rather adaptable style.

In my attempts at drawing the ladies, I've sometimes found that female faces are really just like dude faces, except more narrow (in the chin/jaw, nose, maybe even the eyes). Maybe that's just me, and maybe I'm drawing from memory here, but I'm pretty sure smooth curves and narrow features (in general) are the way to go.

Post your girl faces anyway.
Somebody could maybe trace over them to give some pointers on what can be improved.

There's also this book, which I have myself and has been amazing in teaching me to draw better humans.

Copy.

No, seriously. Use reference, and do life drawing.

Life drawing teaches you the basics of form. It is one of the cornerstones to artistic skill. From there you can build things confidently on your own.

When you want to improve drawing girls' faces, do you mean anything specific such as jaw line/facial structure or elements that make a face more feminine?

Both of each. I have a rather old Pic right now (because my scanner is acting like a whiny bitch.) but i really haven't improved to much from it anyway
In fact i believe i might have digressed.

For easy reference, male vs. female face components:

Male:
  • square jaw
  • strong chin
  • higher contrast (if doing realistic shading in color or grayscale, especially grayscale)
  • any lip emphasis should be on the bottom lip
  • thicker eyebrows than a female
  • usually no eyelashes

Female:
  • rounded jaw
  • small chin
  • less contrast (if doing realistic shading in color or grayscale, especially grayscale)
  • more lip emphasis should be on the top lip
  • thinner eyebrows than a male
  • usually some form of eyelashes

This post took way too long to write. I think it was an hour. Hope you like it =P

Arrgh men totally have eyelashes. I realise you're talking about drawing anime/comic men, but that stereotype always bothered me.

Anyway, tons o' tutorials!
Men vs. Women
*Drawing Ladies(warning, contains NSFW material, with boobs and other anatomy that women have (done tastefully, of course).
Head Drawing
*Face Drawing
*Drawing Men (I know this is completely opposite of what you want, but it has some good contrasting on how men look different from women which you can naturally turn around into how women look different from men.)

*This person has wonderful tutorials and I totally suggest checking out her other ones for other kinds of topics. They're amazing and I love them.

Sorry they're not all exactly what you're probably looking for but I find going back to the basics to be very helpful when trying to refine your art.

Otherwise, lots and lots of referencing. Find someone who DOES know how to draw female faces right and figure out how they differentiate their male faces from their female faces.

This isn't actually half bad advice.

You get to see the anatomy and there'll usually be a man nearby to compare to. >_>
