...where do they get all of those red-shirts in the star trek series?

And speaking of that....what kind of rp would that be? I mean, everyone playing as a red-shirt and all. It seems unusual to me, anyone agree? Take my idea if you like, because I don't care and don't like to run campaigns, heck, you guys can use this thread to do a sign-up and get ready for such a campaign if you like. This is just to get an idea out of my system.

well first question: What series are you talking about? In origonal next gen DS9 etc the red shirts are obviously replaced as they die. Re asigned to fill vacancies etc.

in voyager... you got me. I think they spring from a hole in jeffries tube 14.

As for the campaign.... how would it work? I mean red shirts aren't usually very detailed charecters and their lifespans are kinda stunted by definition....

would this be a sort of "look into the real life of a red shirt" thing or what?

Redshirts exist to die, and thus they are drawn from the Infinite Dimension of Movie Extras. The greatest customers are Hong Kong action movies and Exalted, though.

So you would be killing off all of the chars at the end of every chapter, mission or what-not and then bringing them back?

Star Trek Gaiden, where the Redshirts ACTUALLY do something beyond die for their series. Maybe fix it so that they do all the work, then they die ignominiously at the end while the "main characters" steal the glory...
