Now, see, you think it's cool now, wait until you use Golbez's ability. It takes (took? they may have changed it) the same amount of charge time and causes instant break status. (And yes, R+Square is how it's done. Certain characters - Cecil, Bartz, Golbez, Sephiroth and Ultimecia, maybe more that I'm forgetting - have special Ex Mode abilities that are used with R+Square.)

Yeah, I had some fun with Golbez. I think(?) there are other characters with similar tricks, but there's something satisfying about being all like, "Yeah, I'm a big armored guy with a mass of huge fucking boulders swirling around me, whatcha gonna do about it?"

To be fair, every other one-liner in the game sounds as lame. Dialogue has never been one of FF's fortes.

Everything Kefka says begs to differ.

While normally I agree with you, wouldn't be better to wait till the game is out fully so you could judge his voice accordingly.

I mean, I am a huge FF6 fan, but I am withholding judgement until I can hear full sentences.

He's in the demo, you know. Whenever I come up against him, I spend a good few minutes just air dodging around and doing nothing but brave attacks just to get in a good listen at what he has to say, including even letting him get in an EX Burst on me on occasion.

It's pretty much all gold, dude. "ZZZAPPO!" gets me every time.

That's a fair way to look at it. I usually let Kefka knock Sephiroth around for a while.

It is fun hearing him say things like Zappo!! or You'll be well done! He has that manic feel to the voice.

/edit: I do have a problem with Kefka yelling come on come on come on when he does his crazy Blizzaga attack.

So, uh, I got the game working and have been giving it a good shot.

I seriously have no idea what's going on. Yes, even while reading the loading screen tutorials.

EDIT: Kefka's voice actor rules.

Circle builds brave and reduces your opponent's brave. Brave determines how much damage HP attacks do. So, more brave you have the more damage you do, and the less they have the less they do. Collecting EX spheres or just regular combat build your EX meter which allows you to go into EX mode and kick some ass with a special attack. Oh, and triangle lets your grind on light rails/wall run/etc. R guards and R+X dodges, but you can only dodge that way on the ground I think. I miss anything?

EDIT:Square is HP attacks.

Really? I think the line is delivered well.

I agree. To me it comes off as angry and impatient, which really suits Kefka's character.
