...Well, Mindy Kaling (hells yeah The Office) and several others he's writing to are actually following him on Twitter.

So this just might actually...not be fake.

Does "following" designate folks following his account, or other accounts that he's following?
Because if it's the latter, then this is still quite likely fake.

As of this writing, he's following 6 people and being followed by 336.

"Followers" are people watching him. "Following" is him watching them.

I saw his debut film a few weeks back so thought I was prepared for his twitter.
I wasn't.

I think the critical thing to bear in mind is that whether or not it is actually written by Andy Kaufman has no actual bearing on the question of whether or not it is "real".

Because this is Kaufman's world now, and we are playing by his rules.

EDIT Like let us say it is actually being written by a bored and stupid teenager in Idaho. Can you honestly say with certainty that bored tenage Idahoian is not actually Andy Kaufman, having climbed through a tiny secret door that leads into said teenager's brain?????
