Wii Sports Resort is the shit

Swordplay is amazing.
Archery is cool!
I like bowling. Haven't played golf yet.
Canoeing is kind of suck.
Basketball is meh.
Frisbee is meh, but only because I've always sucked at frisbee.
Wakeboard is a fun diversion.
Table Tennis was a hit with my dad, who used to play Ping Pong in his youth.
Power Cruising HOLY FUCK YES WAVE RACE plz.
Cycling is meh. Why does it need MotionPlus?
Also, those plane games are totally worth the admission price by themselves.

Anyway I really hope I'm not the only one who picked this up.

Azisien 07-28-2009 12:31 AM

I am still considering picking it up. Mostly I don't want to pay $30 for the second MotionPlus so that my mom and I can both play. The Resort+MotionPlus is a good deal though.

I'll probably hold out for a while longer, but archery, swordplay, updated bowling...they had me at archery!

A friend of mine at work bought it after having already gone to the trouble of getting four Wii Motion Plus dealies, so he immediately pulled the one out of the box and sold it to me for $10. That's about as close to paying money for it as I'm going to get, because Wii Sports is the Wii's Duck Hunt.

Sure, it's fun to play and all but you have it because it came with the system.

Hey Tera... If you can, could yo do me a little favor?

You see, i have Tiger Woods 10 here (Here is my review: BUY THIS GAME NOW! IT'S LIKE CRACK!) and there is Frolf in it. It's basically just a game of Frisbee (really fun though) but i don't have the Wiimotion plus ( lost a GREAT deal at ebay where a store was dealing just the Wiimotion plus addon for $16... )

Just in case you can get a hand on Tiger Woods 10, would you let me know how does the Frisbee game compares on both? Like... Wii Resort Frisbee (Motionplus) X Tiger Woods Frisbee (Non Motionplus and then with it)?

Regulus Tera 07-28-2009 03:01 AM

But I don't like golf. Why should I buy Tiger Woods? =(

synkr0nized 07-28-2009 03:16 AM

I certainly won't be.

because you're always on here blathering about this game or that game and that people should buy them

Go do it. For Bells.

Regulus Tera 07-28-2009 03:27 AM

I'll do it for you instead. <3

As for Frisbee Golf in WSR, it was a hit with my family. It's actually quite lengthy in itself, though I don't think it is eighteen "holes". I still don't get the hand of frisbeeing, however.

I played one of the versions of it a few years back. I golfed as a sumo wrestler and sank a 200-foot putt. Shit was so cash.

Well, you know how you can do that on the Wii? Well, now you can do that. On the Wii.

Funny story: I actually originally typed "Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt" but deleted the first part when I realized how many times it's been re-released for other systems and how a great many people have been perfectly happy to pay money for it nearly every single time.

So really, no, the same can't be said for it.

Hey, guess what I did from 9:30 to 4:00 last night. I'll give you a hint, it wasn't "not play Wii Sports Resort."

Dular 07-28-2009 02:15 PM

Canoeing is frustration in all the right ways, especially with 3 other people in the same boat.

One guy was trying to backpaddle and it threw us for a loop.

Mirai Gen 07-28-2009 08:53 PM

I'd love to give it a rental but you can't without WMP.

Oh well.
