Yeah, I just went there. |
Nice update. Not unexpected, but one of the first real action scenes. I like the use of stripes to illustrate fast movement. Asides from making the combat scenes look very fluid and alive they actually seem to give the impression of momentum (linking back to the previous point). Also a good way to compensate for having to use comic panels rather than having sevel dozen slides a second. Because motion pictures are for pussies.

Ooh, you know what I just realised? Jiao is left handed! How unusual!
A lucky kick O.O. Very dangerous putting any part of your body within a swords' range like that. Lucky that the sword if falling nicely away from everyone ;). Maybe it was a very quick kick?? Anyways, great update as always and run Wong! Run! One more thing, Jiao's sword hand position (in relation to the back of his wrist) in the second panel would mean that his sword would be flatter than is represented here. And an Avatar change MSperoni? |

Wong still has to break free...and how close is Jiao's (was it Bao) friend with the mace/crudgel... |
You know what, The more How I killed Your Master moves along, the better it gets, I seriously am wishing I could make time move faster to see the next comic, it is seriously good. It has this flow to it that makes you want to keep flipping the page. Well Done!

Nice dodging and disarming there. I doubt Wong is skilled and trained enough to be running on anything but instinct, but his opponent is temporarily disarmed and probably confused. Not bad for a kid.

The Wong's expression in panel one is worth it all.

As a long time comic book fan, for whatever reason you'll usually see left handed attacks more often than not... Left handed punches, double punches sweeping up and to the left, left kicks... Since Americans read from right to left, I guess it makes sense from a continuity perspective. |
