It simply doesn't seem viable for Wong to be good enough to fend off assassins yet. Fei pretty much is guaranteed to do it. Whether this be earlier or later, he's still, by a rather large margin, probably going to be the one doing the winning. The results of his winning, or the timing, could vary, though.

Whether this is really one or four is still in the air. Looks to be a reflexive 4 in my mind, where Wong simply reacted, and reacted properly.

Wong will propbably kill both of the attackers using Master Fei's technique.
I'm betting he becomes the youngest student ever to succeed his master in a fighting art.
Accordingly, Wong will probably slay Fei when he returns.

Geez that's too much bs for this comic.

I'm down for Wong running away. Fei intercepting the aggressors would be far too deus ex, and it's beyond obvious that he's either going to live or die. There's no being captured in this scenario (and, uh, contrary to my first comment, there's no way Wong is going to actually win this by fighting, er, I don't think.).

On another note, this is a very thrilling, suspenseful storyline. I'm no anime/manga fan, but I am enjoying this thoroughly.

Running like hell and hiding in a thicket (of the local equivalent of poison ivy, for comedic value) gets my vote.

Maybe he'll just run like hell back to the school. Y'know, since he had been doing that to begin with.

So how much much time since Wong started training has actually gone by? And did master Fei teach him how to disarm people? Did Master Fei directly teach him "anything" yet, perhaps off panel?

So far, Wong's definitely looking like a genius disciple... Hell, Kenichi in Histories Strongest Disciple couldn't even deal with a knife wielding thug who didn't know how to use it properly. and needed extensive (And SCARY) training from his psychotic weapons master Shigure...

So he knocked himself over with his own kick and is now running away, crying.

Badass.

Yup, it's back to reality folks. Just as we thought.
