Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
 

Has anyone heard about the sequel to Metroid Prime? I hear it's going to be sinisterly cool. Samus looks a little different, which is awesome, and there is a multiplayer mode too. Up to four players. Sounds great to me. What's everyone elses opinions?

Multiplayer, i wonder how thats gonna work? maybe one person is Samus, and the rest are space pirates, or metroids or something.

Anyway, it's apparently the only game Nintendo isn't offering any specic info on except for a few screenshots, which still don't show much more than Samus blasting some stuff and a multi-Samus-free-for-all.

Gotta admit, though, Lazy Man, that those screens look absolutely beautiful. Even moreso than the first Prime game, if that's at all possible. I'm sure the gameplay will provide just as nicely.

I'm not saying it's bad, just that I'd like more info. Even so, I would like my next dose of crazy FPS Metroid action soon. The screenshots just seem to torture me more than they do excite....so I'll try and cope with it and wait for another few months for something to come up.

Well, supposedly it'll be out this year! So not much longer, god-willing!

And, jesus, please let Half-Life 2 be out this year also, as long as we're praying for amazing FPS action.

I still don't know about this Metroid-as-FPS shit they're so big on lately... I can't imagine they'll even try to justify why 4 different Samuses (Samii? Samustanis?) running around at once.

On the other hand, those screenshots are dead sexy.

I just saw some screens in the May issue of Game Informer, and all I gotta say is this: forst I gotta save up for Halo 2 and Metal Slug, NOW THIS!? Too...much...good stuff coming out...and no...CASH!!! *explodes*

While we're having this "avatar war", my avatar continues to confuse all of yours with his wall-running action. Now, about Echoes, I'm afraid the multiplayer will be just another rip-off of all the other FPS's out there. Although in one screenshot I saw, 2 of the people were in morphball form, which hints that the multiplayer will actually be (gasp) original! (gasp again). So yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Oh, and while you were reading, my avatar just beat all yours to a pulp.

Viewtiful: I think you'll be saving for Halo 2 for quitea while yet, so no worries. ;)

FifthFiend: If you don't understand why everyone's so excited about Metroid-as-FPS, then you haven't played Metroid Prime yet. :P As for how they'll justify 4 Samuses running around, it's simple: 'We wanted to put in a fun multiplayer mode.' Ta-da! Justification!
