Blizzcon Only on Pay Per View?
Wait, are you kidding me? In order to see anything on BlizzCon, I either have to A) go there myself, or B) pay 34.95 to watch this on Pay Per View?
Is it just me or is this a sad turn of events when one of the largest individual game makers has so much clout it can actually be on Pay Per View, knowing that people will pay for even that small experience? -Edit- I should have put up how this was for Blizzard... Damn... |
The tournaments should be free to watch, only the panels will be Pay Per View.

I wonder how much of the "leak" is gonna be true.

Fuck you, it's funny.
To paraphrase part of a conversation on Blizzard's forum about that leak page:
"Orgrimmar can't be destroyed, because Saurfang will cleave everyone." "Uh, you can't cleave an earthquake/tidal wave." "He can." "OK, but he's in Northrend." "He'll use Heroic Throw." But yeah a lot of that sounds retarded. |
I'm willing to buy the additional classes for the races, just because the most absurd of them (Tauren paladins and priests) are alluded to via the conversation between the newly-added Aponi Brightmane and Tahu Sagewind, complete with a quest in Dalaran to bring you to them in order to listen in on their conversation. The Night Elves, too, are getting a similar treatment in the next patch, with a Highborne archmage making a visit to Darnassus and demanding an audience with Tyrande.
Aside from bringing in some new player options, I think the main reasoning behind this would be the upcoming paid faction change feature. Currently, if a Dwarf, Human, or Draenei paladin, for instance, wanted to switch to the Horde, his only option would be Blood Elf, a truly despicable result for many players. With Tauren pallies, this becomes less of a problem. Same with shamans and the Alliance, to a lesser extent. And if you're gonna add classes to one or two races, it's only fair to add classes to them all. As for the rest of it, I'm highly skeptical. The sheer stupidity in the idea of making Garrosh Warchief, much less the events that would supposedly lead up to it and result from it, is so completely unbelievable that I can't really accept it as a possibility. Plus, the story behind goblins joining the Horde is overly complicated. "Okay, see, Deathwing enslaved some goblins but they escaped and fled to an island where they were hiding and then they found a boat. AND THRALL WAS ON THE BOAT OMG." Yeah. Right. Okay. |
You laugh, but the only reason I don't believe it is this: they already pulled that trick with Varian Wrynn.
Also holy shit, Onyxia is back? I hope the old world revamp splits up the Blackrock dungeons. |
BRD was awesome at 60 xP
Haven't kept up with WoW too much since i quit a couple months before WotLK's release, but it seems they've made stuff even more silly than it was in TBC, with stuff like Akama's betrayal, Blood Elves joining the Horde, Kael not quite dying, space-squids/goats and the Hyjal raid instance which had absolutely no presence of the Infinite Dragonflight. |
I do not play WoW unless I coerced by a certain jackass but I am a huge fan of the lore. Upon reading this about Thrall handing over leadership to Garrosh, I find that highly unlikely as he knows that Garrosh is unstable.
If the new races are true however, I can believe the Worgen idea but not the Goblins as they are too much of profiteers to simply ally themselves with the Horde. |
The changing of Azeroth sounds counter to what they've been saying nearly 100% of the time elsewhere. If they change it that must it would pretty much require players to buy the expansion which would deter new players because who wants to buy 1 game and 3 expansions just to start playing.
