Maybe they should have described it as a net launcher, not a web launcher like Spider-Man's. Then it wouldn't sound so ridiculous, but then again if it works they can call it whatever the hell they want.

Sadly, I would have been one of the people telling him to jump.

I don't see how this would work, How do you get it to wrap around and stick to the person, and still be able to pull him up(b/c just putting a net around a falling person wouldn't help much, you'd have to be able to stop the fall).

Seriously, after like 10 minutes, if he hadnt come down, I woulda just ran him over with the SWAT van.

When the net hit you I figured it would push you off the bridge anyway. So it solves the problem.

hopefully this web shooter works out better for jumpers than it did for Gwen.

Although it seems ridiculous, so was the idea that bullets didn't need to hurt people. Rubber bullets are now all the rage among riot police. One of the other nonlethal weapons in development (or in use now, it was a while since I first saw it) is basically like a web shooter. It launches foam at an opponet, gluing him to the ground, immobolizing and disabling him. It's essientially insulation foam that shoots out and covers you, preventing you from doing anything short of yelling "Fuck!" and falling over. It kicks ass.

oh GOD that was funny! hehehe......of course, its only in California that something like that can happen:D
