President Bush
ok now i know that he(President Bush) is trying his damned hardest with the War On Iraq and everything9 and I give him the benefit of the doubt) but...........why doesn't he focus more on the homeland and what not instead of Iraq? I mean I think that it's great that he's trying to make a counrty democratic and all but what about us(United States citizens)? He's(Bush) spending over a million dollars a week just to keep troops in Iraq. And from what I hear on the news/radio the Iraqis don't really want us there anymore.

It really depends on the slant and the host of the station you're listening to. A conservative station will say that the Iraqi's are happy, with MAYBE just a few upsetters who can't let go of their old days and want to have a dictator. A liberal station will say ALL Iraqis are happy with Americans being there. It just depends on who you're listening to.

Ergh, on reading.. Yes, sorry, my brain wasn't as active as I was hoping, most liberal media suggests all iraqi's are unhappy. Sorry about that.

Why concentrate on Iraq? because it has become the central battle ground with the terrorists. and because of this, Terrorist attacks are at their lowest level in 30 years
|
don't expect that to stay that way. INTERNATIONAL Terror won't go up, But Al-Quada has returned to its original mission: attacking its OWN leaders. note the terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Syria. Attacking Infidels seemed like a good idea... but then they found out that the Infidels are very dangerous when they get pissed off.
of course, attacking their own people, strategicly, is stupid. it doesn't help gather support and is really counter productive. EDIT: in conclusion, terrorists are stupid no matter how you slice it. Attacking "infidels" pisses them off, adn is stupid. attackign their own people pisses them off, and is stupid. bottom line: terrorism is stupid. |
I saw something about this on the Daily Show, and whoever the guest was said something like, "When a house is burning, it's not the right time to think about redecorating." I thought that was pretty accurate. I don't see any improvement, except in CNN's ratings. I'm surprised the troops haven't been rallied back yet. It's been over a year, that's just ridiculous. "Mission Accomplished" my fanny.

I think that we should pull out the troops...soo many have died...I don't want to lose anymore. Our country was asking for it when Bush was elected, I knew that something was going to happen...his father got us in a war, so I knew that he was going to get us in a war too...but he is our president, so I am going to vote to re-elect him..all my friends hate me for it...hate me too if you want.

The guy on the Daily show was Bob Kerry.
You are going to vote for a man just because he is our current president and has done crappy job at it. |
The deal with the Iraqi thing is largely related to the terroristic influences coming from there.
In theory, one might assume that the attack on the two towers was something that we would much prefer to have not happened. As a preventative measure, we have our forces in Iraq. Wierd as it sounds, having our military there is actually healthier for our homeland than having our military here. As far as how Bush is doing... I think he's doing swell. Clinton paid out a lot of dough and let the drug trade get a little too wild in his efforts to keep the terrorists happy. Now that Bush let the walls crash down, we can eliminate the issue once and for all. I say we do it. So I'll re-elect Bush. Not to mention that we have no real choice. (Plus, I share most republican views. I think modern age liberals are absolute buffoons, and democrats support most of them. It sprains my brain to hear them speak about stuff. Their ideas don't make sense. I mean, you may as well ask a pancake to play music. Sure, it's round and sort of flat, but...) And the people in Iraq aren't happy. They got white heathens walking all over the place with guns. I wouldn't be happy if muslim dictators came to liberate my society from democracy and enforced it with high tech weaponry either. They don't understand that this is for their benefit. The people who do understand will not benefit, and they spread nasty propoganda instead. Self serving bastards. Anyway, it's a real shame that our guys are out there for so long. Unfortunately, I, personally, don't know what to do about it. I usually see things in black and white, but the Iraqis, well, it's not like they're all evil. Killing them defeats the purpose. WHY CAN'T THEY JUST ACCEPT US! Maybe we should secretly influence their government to turn on us. Then we'd have a right to burn the whole country and feed it to France or someone. Anybody know where the terrorists are now? Syria? Is that what I last heard? |
