So I take it that they're not going to be very important?
I was just wondering if anyone had named them, because I didn't want to recreate an already existing char. Just so as to not step on anyone's toes.

Besides the Crab clan lost a lot of land in the recent past to the shadowlands, including Hiruma castle. They now have to worry about keeping a newly constructed wall, which is just past it's centenial. It's understandable he wouldn't be attending.

So the Daimyo isn't attending. I don't know much about the structure of a Japanese Clan, so who would be chosen to go in his place? I'm just trying to make an informed post.

Well the crab would send some guy of some importance who isn't useful in combat. So either a Kaiu, or a Yasuki. The rest of the clan is busy making sure that the rest of the country is not getting eaten by an army of Oni.

If you guys don't like this setting I have an idea for a more combat intensive rp.

I like the setting, but Japanese-sounding names are hard for me to come up with. I always end up with a Qenya-sounding name. (Qenya is what Quenya was created from. Also known as Early Elvish.) So what I normally end up doing is bashing my keyboard with both hands until a semi-good name comes up on screen.

Also, I haven't had much time this week, because I have AP testing. I was in testing for a total of 9 hours today.

Yeah, they are this week and next week. I believe they started today, and end next wednesday.

Squishy Cheeks 05-05-2004 10:27 PM

ahh the memories. I aced both my histories. I grand slammed my physics, wowed them with my english. And clept out of Algebra.

Gah, I have my AP English Literature test tomarrow (I'll get by), my AP Physics test on Monday (It's gonna suck, I hope to scrape by though...), and my AP US Gov test on Wednesday (That one is going to suck to, but I know I can scrape by on that one...). Oh, and to top it off, my official School Final Exams are taking place next week starting Monday. Joy...

Luckily, I've never studied for a test in my life, but I can get by with good grades anyway, so I should be good. Then next Friday, I graduate (THANK YOU DEAR SWEET GOD!), and then I am free forever of my God forsaken High School...

But back on topic for the RP, I don't know if battle is necessary for a good RP, but I can't think of one working without it. Battle is just conflict in the RP, and since every good story needs conflict, a physical battle provides the obvious answer. I can't think of an RP off the top of my head that would work from a purely mental or social angle that still has a good bit of conflict in it...
