The reason for canceling the Graysons was that it "wasn't in line with [WB's] current view of the future of the property," i.e. people want stuff about Batman not Robin, and they want it to be dark and not upbeat like Smallville [used to be].
And now with Smallville they're going dark when people probably want stuff with Superman to be a little more upbeat. They seem to keep trying to do the opposite of what they should. I'm glad they indefinitely postponed/canceled the Graysons because a pre-parental death Dick Grayson solving crimes with a traveling circus is a pretty lame idea. |

I kind of want to find a way to fit this into an image-sig. |
I second that motion.
I also call for something about Dick Grayson. Age 12. |
Here's the five-minute attempt:

No Dick Grayson? Age Twelve.

I always preferred the last Li'l Bruce comic cover.
Anyways. The Graysons? Awesome in theory. In practice, though, it'd be Smallville with a circus. |

Really? Dick Grayson solving crimes with a traveling circus prior to meeting Batman sounds good on paper?
Are you one of those people who thinks that Batman learning his skills from circus acrobats was way cooler than learning his skills from ninjas? :D |
Dick Grayson, Age 12, should not get a show by any means. Dick Grayson, Age 20-Something, as an independant Nightwing would kick ass.
They could also go with the Flash. I would love to see an episode where has to deal with super speed without all the secondary powers. It would be an intelligent way to limit his powers and create some tension. |
Without the secondary powers he could probably only go about 50 kph or so before he started doing himself damage. So basically he could set some running world records. And that probably about it.
