One could have been serious, though, in as much as someone can seriously intend to make an argument with a comedic form. I didn't mean to imply that was the actual intent there, though... I didn't even cite it very specifically in this thread. There's no box turtle on that image!

That argument is problematic in that sense because it's compatible with a delivery in an humorous tone, since it's an attempted reductio ad absurdum argument (mixed with a dose of slippery slope) but it's also extremely ridiculous as to be very parody friendly. I wouldn't bet one way or the other on what was the intent when the image itself was made.

The rest of what I said flows from the premise that yes, it does appear to be a joke. The image is clearly "humoristic" material. That doesn't exclude that it might have been made with the intent of presenting that argument.

It also includes little adult figures next to little diminutive figures. Not dwarves.

In fact, everything on the second row is out of the scope of arguments that have been proven to be likely to be made with dead seriousness.

So like I said, I wouldn't bet on way or the other what was the intent of that image (which is a pastiche of an actual pro-same sex marriage slogan), if it was parody or jocular repetition/endorsement of existing arguments.

Taking for granted that you were using it merely as a joke, my point is that it doesn't matter. The door's open either way. I'm saying all this in the optic that NPF is intended to continue to play host to Discussion type... well, discussions.
