Another problem solved by America. Kinda.

Nice. I'd like to see how this turns out. If he doesn't turn corrupt (or isn't already) this might work out really well.

As for America "solving"...
America was kinda the cause... or part of it, anyway.

I have to say that America did win some rep with this one which warms my heart to a country which has earned so much of my negative stigma, though there is the haunting thought in the back of my mind which whispers how much potential is wasted, and how much could be accomplished if America were to hunker down and focus.

I doubt "America" gets any credit for anything here. He repeatedly says he's not getting money or aid or whatever from anybody. He's just one guy trying to unfuck one part of a country.

Apparently living in Minnesota for a bit instilled some morals in him, I guess?

Nah, I don't know what we have to do with this.

So, are we all in agreement that this guy has the potential to be a modern King Arthur; living in the U.S. had nothing to do with that; and that he's going to get a bullet in his head/become a tyrant, reverting everything to what it was? Because I'd be surprised if anyone here thought that he might actually succeed in his efforts and turn the whole country into a relatively peaceful place. That sort of thing doesn't happen in this world.

If he does succeed... I dunno. Somali peace-guard sounds better than the plans we made six months ago to become Somali pirates.

Are we still doing that? Cause I got us a flag and a boat and everything.

I lean towards the "bullet to the head" side of that equation, but I guess I try to be an optimist about people.

We don't have a crying emoticon here, but, yeah, I'd hope he gets killed instead of becoming a tyrant. I'd really hope that he makes the country peaceful and that it spreads throughout the continent, bringing our world closer to a unified whole, but that's where I need the crying emoticon.

Well, that and Mac making an avatar out of a Philbo comic.
