I'm right there with everyone else on these parts. Heck, it's difficult to name a character on that show that wasn't a gimmick in some way. I'm bot on-board with anything Silverbolt, though. He's even more goody-goody after school special than even Optimus. I mean, I guess you could call him a satire of "the good guy", but that's stretching it. I think his voice actor's voice just makes it worse for me, too.

It could have been worse. The Japanese (which I'm pretty sure was the original) version had him enthusiastically shouting "DESU!" at the end of every sentence to make it unnecessarily polite and he was apparently psychotically happy no matter what, even when he thought Blackarachnia was dead. I think toning it down to lovable oaf knight in shining armor was a pretty decent choice given the material the rest of the world had to work with.

Fuck you guys Goliath was awesome. Shit now you guys have me going on Youtube desperate to find an episode. [Insert curse here] I couldn't stand Beast Wars for the style and look back then, and now it looks even worse 'cause of how far graphics have come.

But yeah, Gargoyles has always been a personal favorite of mine. I actually liked the Avalon arc (Where Goliath, Bronx, and Elisa go from locale to locale on a magic boat) the best because it gave a chance for all the throwaway characters earlier in the series to shine. I loved the WW2 England gargoyles, for example, and seeing Grif again had me excited.

Not to mention some of the most kickass villains I've ever seen. Xanatos/MacBeth/Demona aside, there was The Pack (Fox especially), Thailog, and Oberon. Basically, if they were ever pitted against the Gargoyles, they were awesome.

Nyope.
I'm fairly certain that Beast Wars was originally a western cartoon.
EDIT: Matter of fact, I believe it was Canadian in origin.

Was produced by Mainframe Entertainment which was based Canada, so the same guys who did Reboot.

The Toyline was produced first by Hasbro though if that matters :p

Welp, there goes a good portion of my excuse. I guess we can all just shake our heads at Japan (they did worse with Blackarachnia in at least one translation (turned her into a coward who often begged for mercy, UGH!)).

I just sort of assumed given Japan's involvement in other series and the toys. My bad.

Well that's just prime.

That was just to make the fusion make more sense you know. Woman are suppose to cower apparently, so when they fused together they didn't want the powerful tigerhawk to be part woman.

You have to admit it's less confusing, considering nobody's quite sure just what Tigerhawk is. I think one of the toys actually had 2 spark chambers.

It really didn't help that the character wasn't around for long for various reasons.
