Well yeah, and I liked the evolution of eager kid to brash teenager to serious adult, eventually stepping into Primal's place. This is of course provided we ignore everything else Beast Machines did, which is asking a lot.

Anyway I was trying to decide how to answer this and finally got around to remembering how mediocre Beast Wars' third season was and you can't even blame Beast Machines for that so Gargoyles wins.

I mean goddamn that Optimal Optimus sure was Optimized for getting slapped the fuck around and losing.
