Final Fantasy X2
i just wanted to know what people think of final fantasy x2, and plz for anyone that will reply to this, do not come in here and badger it, i am just curious, and what does everyone think of square making their VERY FIRST SEQUEL!!!!!!
|
oh wow final fantasy x2 a great game. i have not beaten it yet, but i am excited to finish it. it is the best game around and all u people who make fun of it cuz there is just girls are all immature morons, just because there is no 'manly" man in the game doesnt mean its crap...

It's better than I thought it would be. The plotline is kinda bleh, but the gameplay is some of the best Square's produced in a long time. I hope they keep the quasi-combo battle system in future FFs.
|
The battle system was actually the best ATB i've ever seen. But the only problem is that the game is a sequel. Oh yeah, and the NewGame+ feature is crap, cause you don't even get to transfer your levels.

Like Stormrider, I enjoyed the game more than I thought I would. I actually liked the story for a while, until I realized what an annoying amount of trouble it would be to get 100%. I really did enjoy the battle system a lot, though. Very nice.

I wish it resembled FF5 more - so far I have seen no benefit to mastering a class...the whole 'girl power!' subtext is really grating on my nerves, so I turned it back in before I died of exhaustion. Just didn't like it.
|
It's an ok game... but if I have to hear Yuna wangsting about Tidus any more I'm going to stab my PS2.
So much for girl power  So, yeah. The gameplay's great fun, the plot is plot? what friggin plot? and if I hear Yuna wangsting one more time about Tidus... ...Yeah. Reminds me a lot of FFV XD |
the good - awesome graphics and sound, surprisingly intruiging battle system, non-linear story line
the bad - villians kinda blah... getting 100% (thus getting the best ending) is quite impossible without a guide of some sort. the ugly - the culture of post-Sin Spira is remarkably similar to Japanese pop culture. Yup, that means 17 year old girls whupping the ever loving bejesus of anyone that stands in the way of their quest for justice yada yada yada |
Sugary. That's all I really felt through most of this game, there was too much.. Sugar on top of everything. I liked the battle system, though I wish the girls didn't die so easily (Paine was the only one still standing on many of my boss fights early on).
And yes, putting all the time into master a class isn't useful when you realize you need more then one class. And we all wished we'd see more of dead Tidus to get her to get over him for crying out loud. |
FF:X-2 I didnt like it that much no its not the fact that there was no male hero. I dont gender discriminate. I liked the battle system but the fact was it felt too much like tomb raider. Not in gameplay, but in the fact that it tried to be too chalked full of sex appeal. I.E. everytime I changed class there would be some overly extravagent scene of their clothes changing. Its a game for guys who want to stare while they play games. You know the kind whose favorite game is DoA:Extreme Beach Volleyball. The story line was half baked.
