was i the only one that found the ending extremely unsatisfying. the last boss didn't even drop any good loot and the quest turn in was just a bunch of worthless cash.

Yeah the ending was really limp to be honest. It didn't even explain, well, anything. Very poor. And what the hell happened to each individual characters backstories?? I thought Lilith was supposed to be looking for another Siren and Mord was looking for some guy from his past and all that? It never gets mentioned once. Hopefully they sort the story out in the next one (and you know there's gona be a next one).
But never mind, it's still fun, even more so now I'm on playthrough 2 and kicking so much arse. Should hit level 50 some time today and I've started finding a ton of orange weapons now. I think I may start a new character at some point, either Soldier or Siren. |
So, anybody playin' Soldier.
Here's what I'm planning on doing with my build. Yay or Nay? http://downloads.2kgames.com/borderl...05050550550000 |
Well, I don't play Soldier, but the only thing I could really suggest is maybe moving points out of Stockpile and instead putting them in Defense. Generally at higher levels a lot of people run with guns that regen ammo at such a rate that your skills wouldn't make a difference (I've run acorss several weapons that, by the time I've emptied the clip and reloaded, I've already got all my ammo back). And usually you don't run out of ammo that easily anyway.
Other than that, maybe move points out of Impact and put them into Sentry, but that depends on your own playstyle really. If you're relying a lot on your turret then move them over (especially since you have Barrage maxed, the damage there would be enourmous), but if you prefer to stand there pumping a million and one high powered shots into the enemy and only use the turret for last ditch defense then keep them there, especially if you're running with guns that already have high base damage. Other than that it looks good, but as I say I'm not a Soldier, so what I've just said could all be a load of crap. EDIT; Oh actually, looking again, Metal Storm doesn't look that great, especially once you get proficiencies up more. Move those points out and put them into Sentry. That should make you build much more solid. |
Alright, thanks for the advice.
Will do on the Metal Storm thing. |
This is what I've been rolling, obviously using the Turret mostly in a pinch

I started my first character yesterday. Been Berserking.

Yeah Marcs build looks good. I was thinking maybe putting points into that shield regen skill instead, but I guess it depends entirely on what you feel comfortable with. And I gota hand it to the Soldier, there seems to be a lot more customisation options than with Hunter. With Mord it's either snipers or gunslinger, maxed out either way and maxed out Bloodwing. Solider seems much more spread out and versatile.
Just don't think I could bear that massive turret cooldown though. |
You can go either Barrage or Quick Charge and it'll still be good.
Just started playing as Brick. He's a monster. |

In other news Mothrakk was stupidly hard. Skagzilla was ok mostly through transfusion grenades both Mothrakk was beyond hard. I ended up hiding in a Catch-a-Ride station with a roof and popping out when the explosion stopped to get off a couple of shots with a sniper rifle. Stupid thing would not come into decent shotgun range and my turret wouldn't shoot it. |
