Whatever happened to guest comics?
 

First off, I just want to say that I think it sucks Mr. Clevinger is sick right now and I hope he recovers soon. Taking care of his health is right up there with feeding the cats in order of importance. (Which is to say, vitally important.)

Now, to the actual topic at hand. Why doesn't Brian have guest comics any more? After doing some checking, it appears there hasn't been one since 2005. Perhaps I missed a post somewhere with the answer?

Yeah, guest comics are made exactly for times like this. But I prefer guest comics made by the fans over the ones made by other web comic artists (who happen to be fans maybe)

I just hope he's fit to provide me with my free entertainment tomorrow. Otherwise I might release a guest comic. And you people don't want that. I could now put mah shameless plug here and link to some post somewhere where I showed off four or three of the strips I made, but I wont. They aren't related to 8BT anyway.

On a second thought. Maybe showing fan-made comics wouldn't be a good idea.

PM me if you want to take this up with the swordchuck project's artist, we might consider doing a page written by the fans.

No comic's up yet? Well fuck. I clearly wasn't thinking when I said I was gonna make a guest comic. Fuck.

I'll just use an unused comic script I already have, only I'll replace Batman with King Steve and the random employee of Batman Smalltime Business ltd. with Hank, royal elite guard of the kingdom of Corneria. Or Gary. What was the coffee stain's name? Rodney?

Oh by the way I thought of a possible reason why there aren't guest comic weeks anymore: Brian always mentioned how selecting them from the pile of entries he'd always get was very time-consuming and between three webcomics and Robo and all he probably just doesn't have that time anymore. In fact I have a hunch he might have told us so a while ago and we forgot.
