Instrument (vocals and songwriter are ok too): Bass guitar, specifically, the discontinued Epiphone Rivolli II.

Band your in (type of band too): None. Want one, though. Would like to play ska, but no one else likes it, so I've got no one to play it with.

greatest achevment(sp): Memorizing the Super Mario Bros. 2 theme.

do you like the idea of a Nuklear power forum band: Not very likely, but it would be cool to do something along the lines of Video Game and Anime themed music.

Favorite peice of music: To listen to: "Howwhywuz, Howwhyam" by The Mighty Mighty BossToneS. To play: "Popcorn" by The Mad Caddies, "Drunks and Kittens" by The Mighty Mighty BossToneS, and the Super Mario Bros. 2 theme.

Amount of time you have played your instrument: I think about three years now.

On a sad note, I suck. I really, really suck at bass. I need to get better to be in a band, but I think I could only grow if only I was in a band. Evil circle.

Well, on second thought, I'm still not that bad, especially for being self taught. Sucks learning on a bass, because most music is just one string being plucked for three minutes. Not fun or interesting to play. If you get into bass, look at the ska tabs. Ska usually has more fun bass lines.

For whomever said bonus points for knowing what a Euphonium is:

It is the insturment commonly refered to as a baritone. It sits in your lap, often on a pillow. In many respects, it looks like a quarter-sized tuba, except with valves instead of keys.

It also feels fuckin weird to play a euphonium for an hour, then start playing french horn again.

Now where're my points?

Instrument (vocals and songwriter are ok too): Midi Synthesizer

Band your in (type of band too): N/A

greatest achevment(sp): Hitting keys and random and actually producing something that sounds nice.

do you like the idea of a Nuklear power forum band: Not really.

Favorite peice of music: FF7 Boss Theme

Amount of time you have played your instrument: Two hours

Some one else already posted a link to what a Euphonium was and your definition wasn't quite right. The Baritone and Euphonium are actually slightly different. The Euphonium tapers over its entire length and has 3 to 4 valves were the baritone tapers to a fixed diameter, IE. If you unroll a Euphoinum it looks like a cone while a baritone looks like a cone with a long tube stuck to one end. This simple difference means that the Euphoinum has a deeper richer sound and a slightly larger range than the Baritone. Also, I never had to use a pillow when I played. My band teacher made me do a research paper on my insturment. So you get negative points for missing the link and getting the wrong answer.

If you'll notice here, Stover never said that the Baritone and Euphonium were the same instrument, he merely said that the Euphonium is commonly referred to as one. Which it is, by the way. The Euphonium is often mistakenly called a Baritone by the less informed. Most people don't even know that a Euphonium is even an instrument.
