Simple Hosting Sites
What are some simple hosting sites, or places where some one can host something for free?
Like imageshack.us is an easy place to host an image, is there any place to host a small video/gif, or a place to host a sound file? |

http://phpwebhosting.com/
PHP, PERL, FTP acesss, MySQL database, "unlimited" disk space (no porno, file libraries, "download only" sites"), unlimted (really) pop accounts, other shit, for $10 a month. that's where i host my site. i like it |
photobucket.com I hear is good for hosting images. 1asphost is also good, EXCEPT it has a tendency to go down at random times (and in case anyone reads this and think it's good for hosting a site-trust me, it's not, I've had some pretty irritating experiences with it; however, for uploading a quick picture, it's fine).
Edit: Oops, you said video/animated gif, not images. Heheh <.< >.>. Well, 1asphost is suited for that, but I'll leave photobucket in my post for anyone who happens to be searching for a place for images. |
Aw, I should have added the words 'Free' and 'Works more then half the time'.

Do not use Angelfire. It's rampant with popup ads and other crap, and it crashes all the time. Geocities is all right. It's what I use. It's not the best, but it's pretty good for free.

No way, Geocities is horrible. They are constantly running out of bandwidth. Whenever I go to a Geocities site, I can usually click through about 4 places before the whole thing shuts down and says no more for today.
However, I can't think up any more, and they ARE the best out of those mentioned, even though they suck too... |

I have $10, I just don't want to spend it to get a site so I can host a couple things that I will only use for a week.
