Worst. Anime. Ever.
 

Alright, this thread will be dedicated to bad or just plain awful animes. These are the animes you might see in the discount bin at a used video store, or a high-budgeted film that turned into a flop. The point being that forumers will know which animes to AVOID like the plague. Just list some animes that made you roll your eyes in disgust and include a story of how you came across said animes, if you want, while keeping in mind to avoid posting anime titles that are critically-acclaimed or very popular, but wasn't your cup of tea. I'm looking for bottom-of-the-barrel material here, people, so try to avoid answers like Dragonball, Neon Genesis: Evangelion, etc. However, if you can't hold back your contained anger towards a particular, popular anime, than go ahead and post it keeping in mind that you must give a detailed reason why and you must avoid trying to incite flames of any sort in your post. At the end we can pile up all of the entries into a single, bad anime list.
My personal dis-favorite is Ninja Resurrection (not Ninja Scroll. Ninja Scroll is awesome). I got it at a Bookman's for $5 and I see now it should have stayed there. Now, I can tolerate a lot of religious controversy and unbelievable situations, but when a man cuts off his finger and has it crawl up his daughter's er...southern entrance so he can then mind-control her into having sex with a recently limb-amputated, Japanese reincarnation of Jesus Christ for the purpose of bringing Satan back into the world through her womb...I tend to have reached my limit...
So, what're some of your unfit-for-human-eyes animes?

1. Ninja Resurrection (Ninja Scroll Lite! Less action! More demon rape! Also with new, unneeded religious controversy!)
2. Zoids (Because we don't be hating on the Pokemon's first movie. )
3. Blood: The Last Vampire (Worst use of the vampire license since Queen of the Damned! If you liked that movie, my apologies.)
4. Utena the Movie (It's made the cut, but will it stay? If you've seen it, let me know what you think!)
5. Immortal Gran Prix (Because commercials shouldn't be animes.)
6. Blue Gender (A truly disappointing ending to something that could've been good. You know, if it hadn't sucked. But hey, if you liked this anime just say so and I'll listen.)
7. Battle Arena Toshinden (Based on the game. For fans only.)
8. Devilman (I haven't heard much on this. Is this bad enough for the list?)
9. M.D. Geist (One-dimensional characters are IN. Or not.)
10. Violent Jack (Generic, bargain bin material. Avoid at all costs.)
11. Crying Freeman (See #10)
12. Appleseed (I'll give it props for the rabbit-headed android. But, that's it. Too boring and uneventful for many tastes.)
13. Tekken (Why does it hurt so...)
14. Kokoro Library (The story of a girl who did absolutely nothing. Also, may not be actual title.)
15. Grizzle Mine (Apparently a 12-year old boy abused some 8-year old girl. Not recommended for human life.)
16. Project A-Ko Grey Side/Blue Side MOVIE (So don't be hating the series just because this movie sucked.)
17. SoulTaker (Very boring action anime. Can they even try?)
18. Wicked City (What's with all the damned demon rape, anyway?)
19. Virus (Very boring and detached. Uninteresting characters and the action is too standard to be worth it. And for all the flashes of nudity in the anime, where the hell were their genitalia?)
20. Rahxephon (I need feedback on this one, but I've heard it sucked.)
21. Samaurai Showdown (The Return of Bad Animes Based Off of Games)
22. Sonic Soldier Borgman: Final Battle (Little known anime that's pure crap. Avoid at all costs.)
23. Pilot Candidate (It aired on Cartoon Network for a little bit. A VERY little bit. Blink and you missed it.)
24. Grey: Digital Target (Low budget, low excitement anime. Not very interesting.)

umm... Pokemon. Need I say more?

Battle Athletes Victory made me claw my eyes out.

Well, Pokemon's a good start...
But it's also very popular (with kids anyway), so you'll have to elaborate on your lack of interest/burning haterd with Pokemon. Just give like, 3 reasons why Pokemon="teh suxxor" and I'll put it on the list. Provided of course that Pokemon fans don't come to refute it as one of the worst animes ever (which probably isn't likely since many anime fans dislike Pokemon). Anyone else have any cream-of-the-crap titles?

Hmm... this list could be quite long, but I'll cut it down...

Blood: The Last Vampire... I cannot stress how much I hate this anime...
Blood Reign... Nice animation, but animation isn't everything... usually it requires a story
Naruto... Suffers from the same 'two weeks to do one fight' disease that Dragonball has.


HMmm... those are actually the only ones I can think of right now... must be suffering brain withdrawls or something cause I know there's lots more.

Lets see .. why do I hate pokemon..

1. Gives all anime a bad name
2. Hideous plot
3. Pikachu (Oh dear God save us all)

more, but I cant think of them right now. Im currently gouging my eyes out with a dull spoon.

Heh. Well, I haven't seen that particular anime, so please give me a couple scenes that occured in it that you remember as being truly horrible and I'll add it to the list.

1. Alright, I've heard bad things about Blood: TLV, and I've also seen some parts myself, so I'll add that to the list unless someone comes to defend it.
2. Never seen Blood Reign. So you'll either have to elaborate or give a scene from the anime that labels it as 'pure crap'.
3. Naruto is too popular right now to be labeled as a bad anime, and I've heard it has some excellent action scenes. So, I'll leave it off the list til' I can get a 2nd/3rd opinion...

Battle Athletes Victory is part of that weird subset of anime that's weird just because it can be. I bought a tape of it because it was 90% off, and now I can see why. The story makes no sense, from what I can gather it's about a space sports camp where the main character is roomed with a lesbian who has a moon cow that goes everywhere with her. The coach can only eat chocolate. It only gets weirder. Now, to it's credit, I've only seen a few bits of it, but when the subtitles are in engrish, you know something is wrong.

Wait a tick...lesbians AND a moon cow? I'm afraid you just peaked my interest towards this anime. I may have to buy this anime, unless you can elaborate on why the lesbian and moon cow are bad things...
