Darth Vader of Anime? No, maybe of that series. Dont even try and put Pokemon on the same level as the greats (Hellsing, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, etc) where they had real villians.

I'm siding with Viper Daimao on the point of Reign; It really wasn't as bad as some people make it out to be.
That's my $.02 |
Hey, now! Why is Blue Gender on this list? That's a very good show. Now, my experience with anime is limited, but I though Blue Gender was very good. Well, except for its complete lack of humor...and originality...and good voice-acting...and of course, I don't know what was going on with that ending...and...
Well, obviously I'm not going to win this fight, when I just gave a good argument for why it sucks. But I still like Blue Gender, because of the themes it deals with and the characters, who are very dynamic and well-rounded. So there. As for bad animes, try Kikaider. Can you get anymore depressing? And if you miss an episode, you have no clue what's going on. And I'm not sure if Reign: the Conquerer is an anime, but it sure looks like one and I don't think the ancient Greeks had hologram projectors and robots. |
Hee! Yaay! My three picks are on the list! Those, of course, being Tekken the Movie, Ninja Resurrection, and Blood: The Last Vampire.
Honestly, even though I loathe and abhor it with every fibre of my being, I'm surprised no one stepped forward in defense of Blood: The Last Vampire. It seems like the sort of insanely pretentious, overly dark/moody/angsty, and killer-school-girl-filled thing that people normally love. ^_^ Ninja Resurrection. Oy. Never again will I speak the phrase, "Oh, I'm sure it's not THAT bad." Bezo and I had a choice phrase to describe this one: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! We were able to sum it up thus: see this only if you want justification to start an uprising against Japan. If you're looking for fun entertainment, just watch some milk curdle. Or give birth to a live porcupine that has been lit on fire. Or something. Tekken...well, I laughed my ass off. And believe me, walking around without an ass for a week isn't fun. Uh...anyway...I particularly liked Kazuya's Eyebrows of Death, Heihachi's Hair of Doom, and the Invisible Plot Device Dinosaurs. Still, I'd have to agree that this anime has no redeeming value. I notice that someone suggested Love Hina. I guess I'm not totally surprised, even though I doubt they had the same problem with it that I did. I just got really tired of seeing Naru beat on Keitaro with next to no provocation. I just keep wondering how accepting people would be if it was reversed, and Naru went soaring into orbit every episode. Love Hina in general would probably be blackballed for mysogyny. I just think that's a sickening double standard. It is absolutely not funny when guys beat up on girls, and I agree as much as anyone with this. So why is it funny for girls to beat up on guys? I'm not suggesting that Love Hina be put on the list, as it is FAR from the worst anime ever made, but it does make me angry every time I see it. Until Motoko and Shinobu show up. Then I'm happy again. ^_^ Hmm...do I actually have anything new to add? I don't think so, since I know that my other personal most hated animes are quite popular. Vampire Hunter D and Ghost in the Shell, just for the record. Oh, wait, I just thought of a suggestion! The Project A-ko Grey Side/Blue Side movie. Not the rest of Project A-ko, just that movie. Reasons? Well, the plot is massively contrived, and that's only when it even makes sense. The villains gave villains everywhere a bad name. The lackey type villains were basically caricatures, and bad ones at that. The main villain, (get this) Gail, was even worse. He was like a bad wannabe of every dark, angsty villain everywhere, but with zero motivation, beyond wanting to destroy the universe to make way for a new one, because a nun told him to. That's as far as his motivation is ever explained. We see the nun, but we never find out who she is. The characters carried over from the series (meaning A-ko, B-ko, and C-ko, of course) have had all of their good qualities removed. Except for C-ko, who is ten years old in this universe and acts exactly the same as she did when she was sixteen in the other one. Kinda funny. The tone in general was really, really mood-swingey. It reminded me of a thirteen-year old. It would be insanely silly (although rarely funny) for a while, before descending, with very little warning, into bad angst. The drama was laughable, the big, scary three-headed dragon looked like something I made from Play-Doh when I was four, and the logic for having it there was questionable at best. That said, I absolutely loved it, but I accept that not everyone has my twisted love of ghastly-bad anime. Remember, I also had a great time watching Tekken. So, yeah. That's my pick to be added. Project A-ko Grey Side/Blue Side. |
Pokemon is the worst and always will be.

Wow, that kid truly is a man after my own heart... likes DBZ and hates Pokemon.. WOOT! :D

And besides, MewTwo is not a 'villian'...but to explain would be getting into the movies plot and then I got to put a spoiler notice and go on and on....no. Knives and Legato are hardly the best Anime villians ever. Put up its own thread and I'll tell you which I think are. |

And otaku means "house". The popularized slang usage basically means a pathetic geek. I also could've sworn mentioning I've taken 4 years of Japanese. And dammit, what about Zoids? |

But seeing as you have taken 4 years of Japanese...can you be calling me that? |
