So while going through a couple hours of boredom and the Conan O'Brian show (not entirely related, though close), I saw a skit they do occasionally where they take celebrity couples faces and mesh them horribly (possibly with cut/paste and simple photoshop), to represent what that kid would look like. Somehow this circulated in my mind, and I began to wonder what it would be like if certain video game characters got together and had a kid. What would that kid be like? I'm not really talking about looks, more along the lines of personality...

For instanse, what if Auron (FFX) and Paine (FFX-2) got together and had a kid? Wouldn't s/he be the moodiest and most badass character ever? Or maybe assume that you could make a creation with two people of the same sex, like Kefka (FFVI) and Sephiroth? That could would be really messed up, but really powerful. What would the kid keep and what would be disposed of?

I leave this horrible meshing of genetics to you!

How about Tidus and Squall? That would have to be the whineyist brat ever!

As to Auron and Paine, I have refused to play m copy of FFX-2 until I get off my lazy ass and beat the first one, so I can't comment there.

As to the Kefka/Sephiroth mix, first off remove Kefka's looks. He is the best villian ever in my book, but in all honesty, he looks like a clown on crack. Basically, just transfer everything about Kefka into Sephiroth except his appearance. Sephiroth looks like a pretty boy so he still isn't ideal, but he works. Now I need to think up what a good villian with Kefka's personality would look like...

Like Kefka. He looked like a clown on crack because he WAS one. "Run run run or you'll be well done!" I mean... come on!

Not to say he wasn't a damn cool clown, but still...

And Tidus + Squall wouldn't be a whiny brat. The meshing of those personalities would leave would leave a child with so many neurosi that he couldn't even move.

Auron + Paine would just be either a wiser version of Paine or a funner version of Auron, depending on the gender. They were really similiar. I use the term 'funner' loosely.

Ghaleon + Sephiroth? I'm thinking the prettiest, evilest, most powerful villain ever to walk the earth... and maybe Ghaleon's super sanity would offset Sephiroth's psychosis a bit.

(Instead of 'mated', how about we say 'Took a cell from each and raised in a test tube'?)

Tidus + Squall, wouldn't matter, that kid would commit suicide.

Kefka + Sephiroth, this would be hard to do... (fe)male clown on crack who wanted to destroy everything mixed with a pretty boy who wanted to 'save' the world by becoming it's god... A would guess a split personality pretty boy cross dresser.

Hmm, let's combine two black mages, Vivi and Lulu. We get Vuvu, or Lili, depending on the gender. He/she would have the classic pointy hat and black leater bondage belts for clothing. If it was a he (Vuvu) then he'd be shy, but know everything you never wanted to know. If it was a she (Lili) she'd be cold be niave (however that's spelled).

What about Wakka and Barret? Any ideas?

Combining Kefka and Sephiroth is a sin, in my books. Kefka is a crazy clown and Sephiroth is a badass, trying to become a god. First of all, as soon as Sephiroth meets Kefka, he would liquidfy him with a spell of some sort. Kefka is probably to crazy to even know about vertical mamboing(sp?). Also, if Sephiroth got his way, he would just make more clones of himself from the lifestream. Good clones, at that.

Let's see... for a seriously kick-ass hero, I think Sabin and Terra would produce a pretty awesome kid. A super-strong monk with Esper-like magical abilities, and hopefully Sabin's sense of humor would offset Terra's moodiness so that his/her personality wouldn't totally suck.

Oh do NOT get me started... Sephiroth was a pretty boy pansy who wanted to play God. Kefka was a murderous psycho who Became God. Sephiroth just wanted power, Kefka wanted to hurt people and make others feel suffering just for the hell of it. It's the classic Old School Villian vs the New School Villian. However, this is not the place for a vs battle...

As for getting back on topic, I would want to see the child of Locke and Celes, just because it is a match up that would happen, and would be interesting to see what the child would have been like.

Zerg Kerrigan (Starcraft Brood War) and Kimahri (Final Fantasy X, X2). That'd be really creepy, looks-wise and personality-wise.
