Questions, questions, quest exp?

I have not played it. Is it like FF Tactics on the PSone or what? Same game? Same format? Can I still be crazy stuff like a bard and a mime?

I remember it. I had a Bangaa Defender with the Aura ability and the Eclipse sword. No it's nothing like the other games. I lost mine when I moved last year.

Yeah, I have that game, but I haven't played it in a while.... (BTW, nice Avatar, Odysseus the Warmaster :D ! That's also an awesome game!)

Playing through it right now and enjoying it

Its a really cool game, the fighting in it is similar to that in Tactics, but the jobs are different, and the ability learning system is more related to FFIX than FFTactics. But it is a really fun game.

They also took out most of the plot building and free-range movement from the first one in exchange for fast battles on-the-go. Mixed blessing.

I remember there being a crapload of cool jobs for the four races (Bangaa, Viera, No Mou, and Human). Please correct me if I'm wrong. I had a Morpher with a million Souls, but I preferred the Dragon and Marlboro Souls.

It's like the original, only you don't have to wade through tons of superflous, boring plotline.

You forgot my favorite race, moogles. The gunner/mog knight combination could do ultima charge in up to an 8-panel range. The bangaa that I used mastered all of the jobs available. I didn't get it anything for it though, phooey. It's a fun game the first time through, I tried to start the second file, but I found myself constantly giving up to level my higher leveled characters, all around 40-something last time I checked.
