Choose Your Own RP
 

So I'm going to give this a shot and send a question out to you roleplayers here on NPF. What sort of RP campaign would you be interested in playing?

Just looking for some basic genre hints or preferences, maybe we can get a consensus on a good idea and work from there.

Not really thinking of using any mathematical systems for rules, mainly cooperative narrative with responsible role play. Really opening the door to anything you can think up, dragonslaying fantasy, space opera, gritty realism, survival horror, my little pony dress up, whatever.

Hit me with some ideas and lets get a discussion going!

Anthropomorphic personifications of ordinary breakfast items fighting against the evil organization that bears a passing resemblance to IHOP.

I could do that. We'd just have to develop a system of breakfast related abilities and skills, a hierarchy devoted to the relative level of deliciouness of a certain breakfast food type (as the ruling caste are all nihilists with martyr complexes, making self sacrfice to the Great Griddle the penultimate expression of self worth.)

Your characters would be the renegades, kind of like Logan's Run but with Waffle 3 and Bacon 6, an "under the table" organization and whatnot.

I want.

some more wildly divergent ideas and concepts would be nice.

Like you guys haven't mentioned time travel, or an rp based on being in a pop band, or the possibilities inherent to an RP wherein all player characters can't understand one another's language and must therefore communicate via elaborate dance routines and hand gestures.

I'm going to need some more to work with here people.

Time-Travelling P.I.s, Solving crimes and then going back in time to prevent them from happening. There, time travel.

Zombie Apocalypse RP. Have it play out in a RE type setting.

Or we could be time traveling detective breakfast foods who battle the undead, but that is pretty silly.

The concept could work, but less free-wheeling-1950's-private-dick-in-a-trenchcoat and more post-singularity-utopian-society-fixing-history-for-kicks.

I am suddenly inspired by an odd series of posters advertising a fictional time traveling travel agency.

Awwwwww, why not 1940's film noir detectives-who-just-so-happen-to-have-a-time-machine? With advanced futuristic weaponry? And motorcycles that run on antigravity technology? And a pony?
