Jon Stewart on the O'Reily Factor - One of them is being a dick
Pro-Tip: It's O'reily.
http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/2...reilly-factor/ 2 part video, not very long, not very great either (O'reily won't shut the hell up...) but i put this here mostly because it's about Fox, about the Daily Show, about these 2 guys and what the represent in a greater sense. So, feel free to comment on the Videos and on the two of them. For me Jon still seems pretty balanced and centered. O'reily keep on pushing, going all "Crossfire" with the pointing and the loud shouting and the non-point silliness that goes on and on and on... It's always great to see Jon working outside of his character and his environment, because it's where he is at his most natural. Where you can read the guy best and disagree with him or agree with him in a more natural manner. And really, it just goes to prove that in the end of the day he knows what the hell he is talking about. O'reily on the other hand, act's like a Clown in this... |
I have a hard time watching even this, because O'Arseface just doesn't shut up with the juvenile insults. It's amazing that Jon can keep his composure in front of a guy like that, I'd probably end up breaking his face with my wrench.

I don't watch O'Reilly much. Going into this, if I knew nothing of his reputation, I'd chalk up a lot of his dickery to the fact that he probably doesn't like being the butt of so many of Stewart's jokes. But if what people say about O'Reilly is accurate, he was just behaving entirely as normal, which means that he was acting entirely out of hand.
From skimming the video it seemed like most of O'Reilly's comments were essentially "Hah, try making fun of me when you're on MY show now!" whereas Jon Stewart was trying to have a fair and balanced discussion. One point where I actually laughed out loud was when O'Reilly asked Stewart for his opinion on Fox News, and when Stewart mentioned that "fair and balanced" isn't a great description, O'Reilly basically exploded at the thought that a news station could somehow be biased. And then O'Reilly started throwing out all this circumstantial evidence that Fox wasn't hardcore neocon like how McCain wouldn't go on their show, and Cheney wouldn't go on their show... he was being completely immature. I applaud Stewart for trying to turn it back into a rational discussion. He was being very honest, conceding points against his "stated" position, and trying to make the interviews more about the stories than about network animosity. I guess that's just not possible with Fox... |
Actually i would say that the fact that Cheney and McCain didn't go on O'reily but Vice President Biden DID go on the Daily Show to be further proof that Jon (as a Comedian on Comedy Central) has more jornalistic cred than Most of Fox shows... and certainly O'reily

I wonder how much more these two clips have been streamed compared to the rest of his show. I know the difference was huge for the Crossfire thing years back.
Wow, O'Reilly's a bit psycho in the second clip. Wait? What? Glenn Beck is an everyman? Hahahaha.... no. No way in hell. Did that last bit suggest Colbert for president? I think it did. |

P.S. My uncle Thinks Bill O'reilly is a "Great man" IF any of you meet him, feel free to kick him in the testicles. |
Your uncle or O'Reilly?
|
Now that's a silly question, both of them and anyone within their immediate vicinity.
